As Christians, we know that we are saved because of God’s great act of Love. And our response is, of course, to reciprocate that Love. But how do we do that? Of course, prayer and worship are proper expressions of Love for God, and so is obedience. God has given us His commands and His instructions out of Love for us. And when we heed His Word, we demonstrate our Love for Him.
And we show gratitude in prayer:
Father, thank You for Your boundless Love. As I reflect on Your awesome gifts, I grow more and more in my Love for You. Thank You for Your Word and for the wisdom and direction that it gives me. Help me to walk in obedience to Your Word so that I may Love You not only with my words and my feelings but with my actions. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
