Even in the midst of trial and difficulty, we are not without an advocate. Friends may turn their backs on us, and strangers may condemn us. But we have One Who speaks on our behalf, even when nobody else will. Jesus defends those that He saves. And all who are saved by Jesus are free from condemnation.
And we pray:
Lord, it seems that the world has turned against me. Even as I endure this present season of hardship, people have abandoned me. They hurl insults and words of condemnation. Thank You, Lord, for intervening, for hearing my cries, and for speaking up for me. I trust in Your righteousness to vindicate me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
