Nobody likes hearing about a problem that someone has with them from another person. Gossiping and talking behind people’s backs are easy ways to distort the original message and blow things out of proportion. The Lord asks that we even have confidence when approaching Him (1 John 5: 14-15), so we should surely have confidence when approaching our brothers or sisters. Hear what they have to say, apologize for any wrongs you may have committed, and speak to them always with grace (Colossians 4: 5-6).
And we pray:
O God my Father, forgive me for my trespasses, and I will forgive those who have trespassed against me. Allow me the wisdom, Lord, to approach my brothers and sisters in You and/or familial with a calm grace to deal with any problematic situation humbly. For I know that I am not the one that has the right to make judgments. Only You can judge me and others, but my pride has made others suffer in this regard. I shall do this hoping to live more like Your Son – Jesus Christ, and it is in His name that I pray. Amen.
