Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.
Life hands us some seriously troubling events. We feel enslaved with the emotions those events tend to produce; emotions such as grief, depression or anxiety. We need to take these troubling events and turn them into powerful witness statements! The Holy Spirit leads us to opportunities where we can share our stories and comfort people who are experiencing the same turmoil.
One very powerful realization is that everything happens for a reason because it’s preparing you for what’s to come in life. It’s helping to get you ready for a bigger and brighter future. You can’t have the pleasure of success without suffering through the pain of defeat.
And we pray:
Dear Lord, with the guidance of Your Spirit, we will persevere through troubling events and when given the opportunity, we will witness to our brother and sisters. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
