Do we know the account of Job? 🤔

‭‭Job‬ ‭42‬:‭12‬-‭13‬
“The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters.

Job 42:16-17
After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. And so Job died, an old man and full of years.”

(1) God vindicates Himself in the end,

(2) God is sovereign over suffering,

(3) Expressing our faith through lament,

(4) Don’t be like Job’s friends,

(5) Learn from what they did right,

(6) Be patient with the sufferer, and

(7) Accurately apply Scripture to your life.

God is unseen, and His ways are inscrutable and beyond huMan understanding. Moreover, huMans cannot possibly persuade God with their words! God cannot be deceived, and Job admits that he does not even understand himself well enough to effectively plead his case to God.

The story of Job exemplifies our struggle to understand the problem of suffering. Job was upright and unwavering in his commitment to God, yet he loses everything—his children, his wealth, and eventually his health. For some of us, his experience of suffering resonates profoundly.

Pray for sicknesses to be cured, pain to be covered and for peace to enter in for some. Be built up in your faith and assure your heart that “GOD CAN DO EVERYTHING!” Job declared it when he said, “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee,” (Job 42:2).

And we pray:

Father LORD, I do not know where to begin. You Know my heart, my situation, my thoughts. Help me LORD, save me! I pray 🙏🏾 in Jesus’ Name, Amen. In my life, Your will be done. I lay here before Your Throne of grace and ask to be renewed. Father, You Created me and Know my heart in so much depth than even I. In humility, I approach You to place me where You desire me to be. In my life, LORD be glorified, Amen. Thank You Father, I will share my testimony and all the glory is Yours, Hallelujah!!! Amen.
