Light is something that is necessary to navigate this world of darkness. We need light to guide us safely through the unforeseen dangers that await us. Yet AND all-ways God as His Word in huMan flesh came as Man! Was tempted far beyond what ANY Man had/has seen and yet was ans is sinless!!!
And whether you believe it or not (really doesn’t matter for/to anyone else – except your loved ones!) This existence is a very short ‘path’ to eternity. Yes, we have record present-day ages: The oldest known living person is Maria Branyas of Spain, aged 116 years, 143 days. The oldest known living man is Juan Vicente Pérez of Venezuela, aged 114 years, 59 days. The 100 oldest women have, on average, lived several years longer than the 100 oldest men.
Let me ask a question! How old would king David be if he were alive today? His son – Solomon? How about Moses? Let’s take it a step further! Jacob, named Israel? I suspect you have rolled your eyes or laughed at my ‘stupidity!’ But, I simply asked a question! All these individuals have come and gone! Where are they now? Or should I say what are they now? Pretty intense a question! But, the fact is that it is simply a question with the knowledge that it leans on the ‘stupid.’ But, in fact you need to contemplate where you will be after life on Earth!
Your body belongs to the earth—dust you are and to dust you will return. Your body will decay and one day it will die. But your spirit goes on forever. The Bible uses various pictures to teach us about the body and the spirit, “Remember God; before the silver cord is severed” (Ecclesiastes 12:6).
Christians believe in the resurrection of the body on the Day of Judgement , when God will judge everyone individually and they will be sent to Heaven or Hell, as revealed in the Book of Revelation. Therefore, death is not to be feared for those who have lived morally and done God’s will.
You enter Heaven by forgiveness and through the righteousness that Jesus gives you. You do not enter into Heaven by the Christian life. It’s always true that where faith is birthed, works will follow, but salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
