Fulfillment? Yield. Pure and simple! For workers in the fields of life. Your reward awaits in Existence – non-ending!
One of these ‘days,’ our lives will be reviewed before The Lord, and our works will be tested by fire (see 1 Cor. 3:11-15). It will be a time of reward for some but a time of regret for others. If you’re a soul winner, your life will be gold, silver, and precious stones; and you will receive a crown. Believers can receive: the Victor’s Crown, the Crown of Rejoicing, the Crown of Righteousness, the Crown of Life, and the Crown of Glory
The question is “hard work.” Let your lives speak the gospel in your words/speech/actions: what we do and/or refuse to do. Everything is seen and recorded. We have memories! You will have all brought to your memory before your Creator.
A most amazing promise in The Word of God is:
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from The Lord” (Acts 3:19).
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
There is something we are supposed to do! Love. Yes! Love. God is Love. Love covers a multitude of sin. We so often could be and/or are hurt be others! The definition of Christian is “Christ-like.”
The Word of God was made Man and came to serve in a world He created! Yeah, yeah, yeah born in a Manger! Nobody talks and/or says much about the smell/stench even the animals present! Privacy? Laughable! Not even a midwife was present…so many things are not thought about and/or discussed. But, the main reason Jesus was sent was for you and I!
Very simply, we are told to follow The example of Christ. Do you?
And we pray:
Heavenly and Gracious Father, I come before You today with a humble and contrite heart, seeking to be more like Jesus, Your Son. In Him, I see the perfect example of what it means to Love, serve, and follow You.
My God, grant me the grace to endure whatever trials and hardships I face, with patience and faith, as Jesus did. Help me to trust in Your plan, and to find joy, peace and happiness in all circumstances.
Matthew 5:44-45 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in The Son of God, Who Loved me and gave Himself for me.
Dealing With Others, Like Jesus Did
My God, it can be so difficult dealing with some people. I tend to take things personal, and I end up holding grudges against people. But my God, I want to be like Jesus. Renew my heart and mind. Give me a heart like Jesus. Help me to be patient and loving towards others.
Bless me with the strength and courage to follow in his footsteps and to imitate his example in my own daily life. Help me to seek your will above all else, and to put others before myself, as Jesus did.
Your Word says to do good to those who hate me, but it is so hard Lord. I cannot do it by myself. Many times, my heart is just not like Jesus’s. I don’t respond to situations the way Jesus would. Even when I know the right thing to do, I won’t do it.
Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.
Romans 12:2: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
