What is your favorite Bible scripture, and how has it affected your life?

While I have many that applies to many different aspects of life, my all-time favourite has to be:

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers

39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I read this very every morning when I wake up, every evening before I go to sleep and countless times in between. I could not make it through a single day without meditating on this promise. I tear up everytime I read it because it is such an awesome promise.

And I honestly feel God put that in the Bible just for me. I know it’s for everyone, but it so often seems to be directed at me because God knew I would need to hear this and hear it often. If I had to depend on myself for assurance of salvation, I wouldn’t be able to make it through a single day.

Honestly, I do not see how unbelievers out there make it through even one day. Call it a crutch or anything you want…I fully admit my complete dependency on Jesus. If you don’t understand how an adult can be so reliant on God, all I can say is see for yourself. Once you do, you will be fearful of what could have been and almost was…and you will be so unbelievably thankful.

And once you realize just how close you were tp goung to hell, having such a promise that nothing can ever separate you from God is like nothing else you can ever imagine. It’s such an incredible promise and security.

If you dont have this incredible gift of God’s forgiveness and security, ask Him for it. It is completely free to anyone that asks for it.

Don’t go another moment without knowing for certain that you have His salvation.
