Beware…

True that!

Good Morning and I pray we are all having a blessed year thus far.

Testimonies? I believe that we all have so very many to share. Why? Not only do our testimonies represent us coming to Christ, but they can also continue to bring others to Him when we share them.

A strong testimony is the unshakable foundation of a secure, meaningful life where peace, confidence, happiness, and love can flourish. It is anchored in a conviction that an all-knowing God is in command of His work. He will not fail. He will keep His promises.

One thing I am moved to do this season is start a prayer request forum. A testimony forum, a praise forum ALL to The glory of God.

Let us feel free to share our prayer requests knowing that our Father Created EVERYTHING! Do you truly understand what that means?

Why Is God Known as Our Father?

The image of God as a loving father is a powerful one, a comforting one. But is it really how the Bible describes God?

When someone is your father, you take on their characteristics. We should take on the characteristics of God if He is indeed our Father.

How Often Does the Bible Refer to God as Father?

Several Bible verses overtly refer to God as our FatherMatthew 23:9 tells us to call no man father on earth, for only one is our Father, which is in heaven. First John 3:1 speaks of the love that the Father has given us. We are called God’s sons and reminded that the world does not know God. Ephesians 4:6 says, “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Galatians 3:26 says that we are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. John 1:12 says, “As many received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even them that believe in His name.” Galatians 4:6 says, “Because we are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father.”

Jesus instructed us on how to pray in Matthew 6. In verse Matthew 6:8, he tells us that our Father knows what we need. He goes on to show us how we should pray, starting with “Our Father which art in Heaven.” In previous Scriptures, Jesus referred to our Father, who knows what we need.

God is our Creator of Heaven and Earth. It is only fitting, and it is in right standing, that we refer to Him as our Father if we belong to Him. There is a Biblical reference to those who do not belong to God as having the devil as their Father. John 8:44 declares, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.” The verse goes on to say that “When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.”

Why Is it Important That God Is a Loving Father?

Parents love their children, and they are responsible for their growth. Even in adulthood, you still have a relationship with your parents. God is love, and He will be a loving Father. He desires that we have a relationship with Him. It is to our advantage to have a relationship with God.

Psalm 103 speaks of the mercy of God. He will forgive all our iniquities and heal all our diseases. Psalm 103:13 declares that God will pity those who fear Him just as a father pities his children.

As Christians, we need to know the benefits that we have. Getting grace and mercy from God is an added benefit. God will also give grace to sinners because He said He is married to the backslider (Jeremiah 3:14). Since we have a relationship with Him as His children, we can go to Him in a time of need to obtain grace and mercy (Hebrews 4:16).

Why Is it Important That God Is a Forgiving Father?

We are human, and we often miss the mark. We thank God for the blood that was shed at Calvary. We can go to God and plead the blood of Jesus. The blood covers our sins and helps us to obtain forgiveness from God. God is long-suffering and forgiving towards us. We should be the same towards others. We want God’s mercy, and we want God’s forgiveness. Asking God for forgiveness should be a part of our daily walk. Forgiveness is a part of God’s character. Daniel 9:9 and Mark 2:7 speak of God’s power to forgive.

The Bible declares that God’s commandments are not grievous (1 John 5:3). A mature Christian walks in forgiveness and love and has a godly character. Your nature should be loving because that is God’s nature. If we are not loving (or at least civil) towards people, we misrepresent what Christianity is.

How Does Knowing That God Is a Father Help Us Overcome Father Issues?

There are many different situations and many different upbringings that we have. My grandmother raised me, though I had interactions with my mom and dad while growing up. After my grandmother died and I went to college, my relationship with my parents increased. While growing up with my grandmother, and after I came to know Christ as Savior, I would often go to God as Father and talk to Him.

We love our parents, and God does want us to be in a relationship with them. However, you need a relationship with God the Father. When things are not what they appear or how they should be with your birth parents, or if your birth parents are no longer here, know that you have a heavenly Father who is close to you. He is willing to hear you and ready to be close to you.

We should approach our heavenly Father as a child. To Him, that is what we are. We are not on His level. He is our creator and our Father. Do not be deceived by the various religions and material wealth as if you are self-made. It is God who gives us the ability to obtain things (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Prayers Thanking God That He Is a Good Father

Here are some Scriptures that will help you to get started in prayer in thanking God. Psalm 3 thanks God for protecting us against our enemies. Psalm 8 thanks God when things are going well. Psalms ninety-five asks us to sing unto the Lord and make a joyful noise. Psalms 100 declares that we should make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Psalm 98 asks us to “sing unto the Lord a new song for He has done marvelous things.”

Heavenly Father, we come today praising Your name. We magnify and lift You because You are worthy to be praised. We give You glory and honor because You are good all the time, and all the time, You are good. We thank you for your protection, mercy, and grace toward us and our family.

Help us to keep a heart of thanksgiving. Help us follow Your example of forgiveness so we may also obtain forgiveness. Give us Your characteristics, and we pray that we will help humanity and not hinder it. Take away anything in us that is not like You. Show us how to relate to others so they will see Christ in us. We hope our light will shine, and others might want to get to know You and Your ways.

We desire to have Your characteristics if we are to be called Christians. Let our flesh die daily to sin, and help us live a holy life pleasing to You. Let your Holy Spirit fall fresh on us. We pray that our name is found in the Lamb’s book of life so that we can have an eternal resting place in heaven. Let nothing separate us from Your love. We pray that we will mature as Christians and witness to others as they come into the fold. These things we ask in Jesus’ name Amen.

Hallelujah!

God!

We are all Created for a purpose.

We are all created for a purpose: To know God and to make God known.

We exist to please God through a relationship with Him as we reflect Him in our hearts, minds and actions by living for Him daily.

And we pray:

God, thank You for making me. Thank You for providing a way through Jesus for me to know You. Amen.

What on earth are you here for? Isn’t that really life’s great question? All of our dreams, plans, goals, desires, pursuits—everything we long for or acquire, even our relationships—all that we are is in pursuit of the answer to the one question that really matters. What are we all about?

God created us. The Bible tells us in Genesis the account of creation. We were formed in His image and placed in His world and given charge over His created things. Man tended the garden alone and God made a helpmate for him. And mankind grew exponentially until now there are seven billion of us, and nearly all still in search of the answer to end all answers. Why?

The Bible tells us the answer in Isaiah 43. We were created for God’s glory. It pleased Him to create us, and we are a reflection of Him. Because we were created for God’s glory, we are also to live for God’s glory. We are here to know Him and to please Him and to praise Him. The God Who made us is also the God that gives our lives meaning.

The greatest thing we can do in life is to know God…to surrender to God and to understand that sin displeases God, but that He gives us a way through Christ to restore our relationship with Him and to spend eternity in heaven with Him. Did you ever think that heaven is only heaven because God is there? Our eternity is to be spent in His presence. But it will not be boring! How could it be when God is eternally vast and glorious and loving and kind and knowable? A billion years on we will not fully know God, and we will continually discover and understand more about Him but never know Him in every way that we can know Him.

We are created for a purpose: To know God and to make God known. We exist to please God through a relationship with Him as we reflect Him in our hearts, minds and actions by living for Him daily.

God, thank You for making me. Thank You for providing a way through Jesus for me to know You. I pray that as I spend my time with You each day, You will help me to know You more fully all the time. I also pray You will show me how I can fulfill Your plans for me on earth as I live for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

STAND FIRM IN FAITH.

3_things_to_do_while_youre_standing_in_faith_230634697.jpg

The promises of God belong to you. Every minute of every day, as a child of God, you’re entitled to believe for them and to take possession of them. Maybe you know this, and with great joy, you move forward to take possession—only to find the enemy’s fiery darts flying toward you at every turn. You have your helmet of salvation on, as well as your belt of truth, your breastplate of righteousness, and your shoes of peace. You’re holding your shield of faith in one hand and your sword of the Spirit in the other. You’re armed and ready.

Then, the battle begins. You fight for days, weeks and even years, and the missiles keep coming. You fight until it feels like there’s nothing left. Your helmet has fallen to the side, your breastplate is barely hanging on, and you feel like there’s nothing else you can possibly do to win this battle. What do you do? God sums it up in two words, “Stand firm” (Ephesians 6:14, NIV).

You think to yourself, Am I supposed to just stand here? Well, let’s see what standing firm looks like. To stand means “to not move” or “to maintain an upright position.” Even so, this instruction from God to stand firm is not a passive position but rather an active one. He didn’t say, “Do nothing.” He said, “Stand firm.”

God isn’t telling you to be idle. Actually, as you’re standing firm in faith, that’s the time your faith is the most active because it’s the place where you let God take over. It’s the place when your human strength ends, and the power of God excels.

Here are three things to do while you’re standing firm in faith, so you can experience the victory God has promised.

1. Stand Firm in Faith by Praising

When you’ve done all, and you’re standing firm in your faith, there is one thing you can do that will renew your strength and activate power in your life—praise. You see, praise isn’t the caboose that follows what happens—it’s the engine that gets you there. Praise will turn your situation around. “Praise is the big gun of faith.”

Remember when Paul and Silas were locked up in the bowels of a prison? Things looked pretty grim. Most people would be begging and pleading with God to get them out, or considering all the ways they had served Him and wondering how they could possibly deserve what was happening.

Instead, Paul and Silas “were praying and singing hymns to God” (Acts 16:25, NIV). The result? “All the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose” (verse 26). All the doors flew open. Every chain came loose—All because of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Kenneth Hagin once shared a testimony of a missionary who had contracted smallpox before there was a vaccine. When she prayed, The Lord gave her a vision of an old-fashioned balance scale. One side was labeled “Prayer,” which was stacked up high, while the other was labeled “Praise” and had only a small stack. The scale was out of balance.

The Lord spoke to her and said, “When your praises equal your prayers, you will be healed.” She spent two days doing nothing but praising God. She didn’t ask for anything—she simply praised Him. At the end of those two days, she was completely healed. That’s the power of praise!

Don’t wait to offer praise to God until you’ve claimed the victory, but praise Him while you’re standing firm in faith for the victory. Praise Him for Who He is and what He’s done in your life. Praise Him that you’re saved, delivered, healed and headed for Heaven. Praise Him as your Creator, Restorer, Friend, Counselor, Comforter and Strong Tower. He is worthy of all our praise! Then, watch as your strength is renewed as you stand in faith.

2. Stand Firm in Faith by Praying for Others

When you’re standing in faith for a promise of God for yourself—whether it be healing, finances or a family situation—it’s easy to focus on nothing but your own situation. However, when you’ve done all, and are standing firm in faith, it is a perfect time to turn your heart toward others.

In fact, there are many testimonies of people in need of a miracle who prayed for a miracle for someone else, only to turn and find that they received what they were standing in faith to receive. That’s why James 5:16 says that, as Christians, we should “pray for each other” so that we may be healed.

Intercession is the highest expression of love. When you’re praying for others, you’re Loving them. Walking in Love keeps you in alignment with God’s Word and in position to receive a miracle.

3. Stand Firm in Faith by Being Patient

Have you ever seen a quitter win? No one has. Every victory in the Bible had a time between the promise and the victory. Some were very long periods of time with natural evidence that contradicted the promise all along the way. What’s the common thread in every Bible victory? They all knew the secret: Patience takes faith to the finish line.

No matter how hard situation may be in your life, you need to stay confident in The Lord Jesus, keep your faith in The Word of God and hope in His promises. Don’t waver in your faith and never lose faith. Stay in faith Because your victory and your blessings in The Lord rest on the pillar of your faith. So when you lose faith you lose everything. Understand that your hope ends when your faith fails. Because it is your faith that produces hope in The Lord of His promises.

Have faith that it shall be well with you and stop stressing. It’s just a matter of time.
Your faith is of supreme importance in your spiritual walk with God. It is your faith that connects you to God, brings the blessings of God upon your life and propels you through the spiritual journey to your eternal home with God. This is why Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith should not fail. Because Jesus knew that if Peter’s faith had failed, he would have lost everything.

The Bible reads, and The Lord said, Simon, Simon, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Luke 22:31-32.

Also the apostle Peter understood the value of your faith as much more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tried with fire 1 Peter 1:7.

So don’t be weak in your faith and never lose faith in spite of the situation you may be going through in your life.

Be strong in faith. Have faith that things will work out. Understand that God has your best interest at heart. Therefore stand firm in faith and keep pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, and through the grace of God you will get there. (Phillipians 3:14).

Hallelujah!!!
