God in His infinite wisdom gave us His Word in salvation. Whilst most importantly we should understand Christ as The Word made flesh, we shouldn’t neglect the word itself, as recorded in our Bibles. Pick up the Holy Book and simply pick out a few passages, and mull these over during your day. The fruits of doing this daily are immeasurable. Our good book is rife, as this passage reminds us, of the Holy wisdom, throughout time, passed on by the prophets throughout the ages.
And we pray:
Lord above I rejoice in Your news brought forth from Your children, of the salvation and price paid on the hills of Golgotha. Let me return to Your word, again and again, for my daily bread. Help me understand Your message, crafted, echoed and sung from the mouths of Your prophets throughout the ages, reverberating with us now, amongst the Holy Spirit. Amen.
