In reflecting on this question, I begin to sound like a broken record/infinite loop/auto playback… I could go on and on and on…
IF you had a ‘taste’ of your future/forever/destination, does it change your passageway? YES!
What does taste of Heaven mean in the Bible?
It means to bring a taste of the whole before we have the whole. Our inheritance is Christ Himself—and the Holy Spirit brings us into His very Presence as a foretaste of being received as His bride, enjoying everlasting Love and communion with Him.
Can you ‘lose the taste’? It has happened, and still does…

I know what my hearts desire is!
The Bible has multiple passages that mention the heart’s desire, including Psalm 37:4, Psalm 21, and 1 Corinthians 10:31:
- Psalm 37:4 A well-known verse that says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart”.
- This verse is a poetic meditation on God’s righteousness and the fulfillment of His promises. It suggests that when you delight in the Lord, your desires will change to match His, but this doesn’t mean that your old desires will disappear or become sinful. However, your desires must be in line with God’s plan, purpose, and will for your life.
- Psalm 21 This psalm includes the words “his heart’s desire”. Verses 1-10 are about King David’s gratitude for all that God has done for him, and verses 7-10 express David’s confidence that God will defeat his enemies. The final verse is almost like a vow that David will worship the Lord continually because of these experiences of deliverance.
- 1 Corinthians 10:31 Paul writes: “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God”. This suggests that God designed humans to find their pleasure and fulfillment in Him, and that all other pleasures should be related to this delight in the Lord.
Taste and see that the Lord is good!!!
