Praising God – our Creator!!!

You were (and are) created for a reason.

The Bible teaches we are created for a reason, with key verses pointing to worshiping God and doing good works, particularly Ephesians 2:10 (“For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works”) and Revelation 4:11 (“You created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being”). Colossians 1:16 adds that all things were made through Him and for Him, showing our purpose is tied to Him.

Here are some key scriptures that reflect this idea:

  • Ephesians 2:10 (NIV): “For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
  • Revelation 4:11 (NIV): “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
  • Colossians 1:16 (NIV): “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible… all things have been created through him and for him.”
  • Psalm 139:13-16: Highlights how God intricately formed each person in the womb, showing a unique and purposeful design.

Alleluia, Hallelujah ALL glory BELONGS to God. He gives us everything we have! What an AWESOME God we serve! Angels (superhuman creations bow before Him!) This means so very much!

Angels in the Bible are portrayed as incredibly strong, “mighty ones who do His word,” possessing superhuman power far beyond humans, capable of rolling back massive stones, opening prison doors, destroying armies (one angel took out 185,000 Assyrians), and controlling elements, though their strength is always subordinate to God’s ultimate power and purpose. They are spirit beings who manifest physical power as needed, acting as God’s powerful messengers and agents.

Examples of Angelic Strength:
– Overcoming Obstacles: An angel rolled away the stone from Jesus’ tomb (Matthew 28:2) and opened prison doors for the apostles (Acts 5:19).
– Warfare & Destruction: A single angel struck down 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night (2 Kings 19:35).
– Divine Judgment: Two angels were sent to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:13).
– Control Over Nature: Angels have power over the elements, earth, and sea (Revelation 7:1).
– Legions of Power: Jesus stated He could call upon twelve legions of angels, a force of 72,000 soldiers (Matthew 26:53).

Key Aspects of Their Power:
– Greater Than Humans: Peter notes they are “stronger and more powerful” than humans (2 Peter 2:11).
– Spirit Beings: They can appear in physical form but primarily exist in the spirit realm, giving them access to greater capabilities (1 Kings 8:27).
– Subordinate to God: While mighty, they are still created beings, “mighty ones who do His word,” always subject to God’s will (Psalm 103:20).

And we praise God, Who sits on the HIGHEST Throne!!!

To praise God in prayer, use words that focus on His character (Holy, Faithful, Loving), His mighty acts (Savior, Creator, Healer), His titles (King of Kings, Rock, Shepherd, Jesus), and your personal response (Thank You, I adore You, I magnify You), often using scripture as a guide for powerful, specific adoration. Start with His attributes, then acknowledge His works, and finish by expressing your heart’s deep thanks and wonder.

Purpose: You Were Created For A Reason

Why am I here on this earth? Is a question we’re always asking.

The answer is simple. God created everything with a mission in place. Which means that if you’re alive today, he has your purpose designed too!

Colossians 1:16 says,

“For by Him, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

The scripture tells us that God has a purpose for creating us. Let’s find out what it is.

We Are Planned For His Pleasure

Do you remember your parents dotingly watching you sometimes? God wants the same. He wants to watch you be YOU.

Revelation 4:11 says,

“You are worthy, O Lord,

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist and were created.”

You are created as an object of His love. And to express love back to him, you have to worship. Many people believe that worship is only music. But worship is more than that. Anything you do that brings pleasure to God — is worship.

So your first purpose is to worship Him faithfully.

Fellowship

God made us, not to stand alone and do His work, but build a family in Christ. Here’s a fun fact: The word ‘One another’ is used more than fifty-eight times in the New Testament.

Care for one another

Love one another

Encourage one another

And many more.

Spending time in fellowship also brings pleasure to God.

Made In Christ’s Image

God created you in such a way, where you can transform into a likeness of Jesus.

Romans 8:29 says,

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Your purpose is to walk this earth like the way Jesus did.

This is to teach us obedience and discipline. Jesus didn’t have a royal visit on earth. He was tortured, doubted, misunderstood and tempted.

When God didn’t spare His own son, what makes us so special and different? He’s going to take us through situations like the ones Jesus was faced with. Only through this can we grow in Christ and fulfill God’s purpose.

Shaped To Serve God

All Christians are created to serve. We are called, created, saved, and spiritually gifted to fulfill His will.

Ephesians 2:10 seals this deal.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

We have a mission on our hands.

God calls us to share the gospel with others. You are uniquely equipped to do this! Live your purpose-driven life to the fullest.
