What advice would you give to your teenage self?

If I knew then what I know now! Yes, there is a cause/reason for all things! Who/what I am today is a sum total of my experiences.

Looking back, what would I have ‘told’ myself? The Love of God is indescribable. Hold on tight!

A profound and faith-filled reflection is what I would share. Keeping one’s eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, is the cornerstone of a Christian life (my life, which is your life!) providing a solid foundation in the face of all circumstances. I would advise that seeking the will of God, Who knows all things is tantamount to my success! I even now look back on what occurred more than a decade ago! The accident, my experience afterwards! Keep your eyes on Jesus!!!

The contemplation of Christ—the Creator of all things—humbly subjecting Himself to human life for our sake is a central theme of grace, as highlighted in scripture (Philippians 2:6-8).

Your commitment to following the example of Jesus by prioritizing communion with God early in the morning is deeply scriptural. Jesus often withdrew to quiet, lonely places before dawn to pray to the Father (Mark 1:35).

Mark 1:35 (NIV) states: “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.” This verse highlights Jesus’ habit of prioritizing, intentional, and solitary communion with God before beginning his daily ministry.

Key Themes and Context

  • Purposeful Withdrawal: Despite a busy schedule of healing and teaching, Jesus made time for quiet prayer to avoid distractions.
  • Early Morning Discipline: He rose “a great while before day” (KJV) or “while it was still dark” (ESV/NIV) to seek the Father.
  • Focus on Prayer: The action of leaving to a “desolate” or “solitary” place allowed for focused communication.
  • Context of Ministry: This verse follows a intense night of ministry, highlighting the need for spiritual replenishment.

Significance

  • Example for Believers: Jesus’ action acts as a model for consistent, intentional, and early prayer.
  • Strength for Service: It shows that spiritual strength is vital for service, preventing spiritual weakness.
  • Focus on the Kingdom: This action immediately precedes Jesus explaining his purpose to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

By placing the day before God, Who knows the number of our days, you are aligning with the biblical principle of seeking first the Kingdom of God.

Scriptural Encouragement for Your Journey:

  • Hebrews 12:2: “Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith…”
  • Psalm 139:16: “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.”
  • Mark 1:35: “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.”

May you continue to be strengthened by this focus on Christ, trusting in His ultimate, Loving, and sovereign plan for your life.

Continue alone the path that you are directed by The Word of God and are led by His Spirit. One important thing I would advise is not to buy your first motorcycle! But, seeing how 🤔 it served to bring me closer to God! I would do not different! So, I would advise myself to stay close to God (under His wings!)

Staying close to God under His wings, as described in Psalm 91:4symbolizes finding ultimate refuge, divine protection, and warmth in His Presence. It represents a conscious decision to trust Him during life’s storms, relying on His faithfulness as a shield. This intimacy, like a chick under a mother bird’s wing, offers secure, intimate, and daily refuge.

Key Aspects of Being Under His Wings:

  • Refuge and Safety: God provides a safe place to hide from fear and trouble, acting as a covering against harm.
  • Trust and Faith: Placing oneself under His wings is an active choice to trust Him, believing that His promises are your protection.
  • Daily Intimacy: It is not a one-time event, but a continuous, daily walk in God’s Presence, allowing your faith to grow.
  • Symbolism: It may refer to the protective wings of a mother hen or the cherubim’s wings over the ark of the covenant, symbolizing divine mercy and presence.

“Under His wings” is a powerful reminder of God’s care, promising that He will cover you with His feathers, offering a secure, nurturing, and safe place to abide.
