You may have MANY troubles, The LORD will deliver you from them ALL…

To be righteous is to live in accordance with divine or moral law, characterized by integrity, justice, and a correct relationship with God and others. It involves both internal purity of heart and external actions that are free from guilt or sin, often seen as acting in “right” standing with a higher power.

Key Aspects of Righteousness:

  • Righteousness by Faith (Imputed): According to Christian belief, righteousness is a gift from God received through faith in Jesus Christ, rather than earned by personal merit or perfect works.
  • Righteous Living (Progressive): This involves actively living out one’s faith through obedience to God’s will, practicing justice, and pursuing moral excellence in daily life.
  • Attributes of Righteousness: Characteristics include walking with integrity, speaking truth, being generous, avoiding slander, and loving enemies.
  • Biblical Foundation: It is the opposite of sin, acting as a covering of moral perfection (often cited as the “righteousness of God”) that allows individuals to stand before God.

Essentially, it is a combination of being in a right relationship with God through faith and displaying that relationship through right actions.

And we pray:

Father, You are aware of everything; each second of my existence is known to You. I approach Your Throne in humility; prostrate – save me O LORD. Bless me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding; You know the desires of my heart. In my life, Your will be done I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
