This site injesusname.blog was begun in response to an experience that I went through…

What’s a chapter of your life you’d title “The Hard Years” — and what got you through it?

To share support to others, and the indescribable Love and grace of our Heavenly Father, I was moved to share my experience.. I do so here at injesusname.blog.

I thought I was experiencing a short ‘dream’… A brief experience! A six week ‘dream’, I have shared here at injesusname.blog about my experience. I write to share about the brevity of ‘life’ here on Earth, and more importantly what we will all experience ‘next’.

According to the Bible, physical death is a temporary separation of the spirit from the body. The soul then enters a conscious or unconscious state—a common topic of debate—while awaiting a future resurrection, final judgment, and an eternal destination in either heaven or hell.

Views on the exact sequence of events differ among theologians:

  • Conscious Presence (The “Intermediate State”): Many Christians believe the soul immediately enters the conscious presence of God (often referred to as Paradise or Heaven) or a place of torment for the wicked. For example, the Apostle Paul wrote of being “away from the body and at home with the Lord”, and Jesus spoke to the thief on the cross about being in Paradise.
  • Soul Sleep: Conversely, some Christians and scholars interpret biblical passages—such as Ecclesiastes 9:5 and the description of the dead “sleeping”—as meaning that the dead are entirely unconscious. In this view, humans remain in the grave without any awareness until the resurrection.
  • Resurrection and Final Judgment: The Bible teaches that at the return of Jesus Christ (the Second Coming), there will be a bodily resurrection. Those who have trusted in Christ will be raised to eternal life, while others face a final judgment.
  • Eternity: Ultimately, believers will dwell with God in a new heaven and new earth, free from pain and death. Unbelievers face what Revelation describes as the “second death” or eternal separation from God.
