For God stands with you always and never puts on us more than we can bear. He delivers us from evil and restores us to His glory. His promises and Word remains true even when the road ahead is hard to see. Faith in Him carries us through every trial. Every tribulation. Every attack of the evil one. Hold on always to His unchanging hand.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and source of eternal life. 1 John 5:20
Eternal life? Wow! We go even further down the rabbit hole! What is life? Right in The Word, we read of “Eternal life.” What is Eternal death? Are we aware of the emotions surrounding the loss of a loved one? How about you, youself?
eternal death is the fate that awaits all people who ultimately reject God, reject the gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ, and remain in their sin and disobedience. Physical death is a one-time experience. Eternal death, on the other hand, is everlasting. It is a death that continues through eternity, a spiritual death that is experienced on a continual basis. Just as spiritual life, by grace through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9) is everlasting life, eternal death is never-ending.
The most important question to be answered is “Does the Bible teach the doctrine of eternal death?” If the Bible doesn’t teach eternal death, then we can pack up and go home because there is no further debate on the issue. God’s Word, the Bible, is the infallible rule of faith and practice, and as such we must believe and teach only what it clearly teaches, and the Bible clearly teaches the doctrine of eternal death. We can point to several passages that explicitly state this, but for our purposes, only three will be needed, one from the Old Testament and two from the New.
• And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:2 ESV)
• And [the wicked] will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. (Matthew 25:46 ESV)
• And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15 ESV). In verse 10, we are told that the Lake of Fire burns “forever and ever.”
All three of these passages (and more could have been added) have as their main context the scene of final judgment. In other words, when Christ returns, three things will occur: 1) The general resurrection of “the living and the dead”; 2) the final judgment; and 3) the inauguration of the eternal state. Each of these passages demonstrates that during the final judgment of all people, Jesus will separate the righteous from the wicked. The righteous will be ushered into the final state of glory, while the wicked will be sent to the lake of fire for eternal punishment and torment. Note too (particularly in the Daniel and Matthew passages) that the same adjective (“everlasting” or “eternal”) is used to modify both “life” and “punishment/contempt.” What is true about one (life) must be true about the other (punishment), that both are eternal and last forever.
The doctrine of eternal death is not a popular doctrine to teach or proclaim. To do so often opens one up to scorn and ridicule. However, we must not let that detract us from what the Bible so clearly teaches; namely, that due to our being born in sin and trespasses, we are under the just condemnation of God for our sin. If we do not embrace the saving message of Jesus Christ, we will perish in our sin and trespasses and be under God’s just judgment for our sin—eternal death. This is a sobering doctrine and requires the utmost care and compassion in its presentation.
This has gone on for a bit! Let us fold it up with a word of prayer:
Lord God, our ALL- without You we have nothing, Amen. Even if here on Earth we have everything. Without You we have nothing. In Your Kingdom we wish and move to be with every moment, every breath we take so that with our last breath we start our Spiritual existence with You, Amen.
Where we stand wrong, we confess our wrongs -lies, selfishness, no observance of You – Who, What, Wherr and How You are, we humbly come before Your throne of forgiveness and grace. Jesus stood in for us, with His blood we are saved and washed clean, Amen
LORD, be glorified in our ALL in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen
Endurance, long suffering and patience are fruits of the spirit we must as Christians rely heavily upon while walking this Christian journey.
“Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?” “If he were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed him over to you. Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.”– John 18:28-31
”And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Are you the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, You say.”– Matthew 27: 11, 29, 30
“And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.”–Luke 23: 2,3
Long suffering and endurance when facing trials in the world can take an emotional, mental, physical and financial toll on our lives. It can be a short-term season in our lives, or drag on for many years. This type of season is one that will test every facet of your Christian journey, your faith, your Christian maturity, your sanity, your fortitude and endurance Outside of Jesus, only Job was wracked more long suffering—a man who had been faithful, committed no wrongs was ‘CHOSEN’ by God to endure, be long suffering to show His Love and obedience to God was real, no matter what station in life he found himself.
You may be facing a trial right now. An issue at work, in your home, in the courts or with your loved ones. False accusations or aspersions may have been leveled against you and are creating havoc at every turn. You may be asking the question, “Why me God?” I have been faithful to Your Word. I have shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have helped my brothers and sisters. I have honored my parents. I have fed and clothed the poor and sick. Why me?
To that I would say, “Why not me!” Has not God been good to you and blessed you. Has he not met all your needs and provided for and protected you?
Yes, now troubles have come to your doorsteps. Possessions have been stripped away. Finances depleted. Family and friends abandoned you. Sickness has taken over your body. Your voice crackles with anguish and agony. Your body ceases to move and the physicians of man have cast you into the heap of ‘lost causes.’ Your perverse lying accusers mock you. Relations say ‘curse God and die.’ But do not yield to the influence and minions of the evil one, for their ways and days are numbered.
“With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.”— Proverbs 11:9
For He that hath overcome the world remains always by your side. He uplifts you and carries you to His place of peace, refuge, renewal and restoration. He has created under His wings a hiding place for you as He fights your battles.
“A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.”— Proverbs 19:9
As He restores your station, your health, your finances, your name, your reputation, your livelihood. Would He that controls the time and space, life and death, earth and space and your mortal soul not do it for you, His child, as He did for our Brother Job?
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”— James 1:2-4
Weeping May endure for the night, but joy will come in the morning. God will see you through your season(s) of long suffering . Remain steadfast in your walk, your faith, your belief in Him who hath saved you from the evil one’s clutches of death. For in due season, you SHALL reap once again. You Shall be Restored, Renewed, All Replenished if you faint not. Your joy is yours both in and out of season to sustain you even in your darkest hour for He has saved you and leads, guided and protects you no matter what this world may throw your way.
