Oh that men would praise The LORD for His goodness, and for His unspeakably, amazing, fulfilling and awesome works to the children of men!
For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness as we ask in faith.
Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; Because they rebelled against The Word of God, and condemned the counsel of The most High: Therefore He brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto The LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
Oh! that men would praise The LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
Those who know and trust Him not wallow in their iniquities and transgressions are afflicted.
Psalm 107:8-17

We ALL have our direction planned out, we may stray from the path, we are directed to be on.

“Now David was the son of an Ephrathite named Jesse, who was from Bethlehem in Judah. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul’s time he was very old. Jesse’s three oldest sons had followed Saul to the war: The firstborn was Eliab; the second, Abinadab; and the third, Shammah. David was the youngest. The three oldest followed Saul, but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.

For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and evening and took his stand.

Now Jesse said to his son David, “Take this ephahd of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp. Take along these ten cheeses to the commander of their unit. See how your brothers are and bring back some assuranceefrom them. They are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the Valley of Elah, fighting against the Philistines.”
1 Samuel 17: 12-19

So much occured in the days of David, they were ALL in God’s perfect plan. At the time, it would have been impossible to see just why, how, what we do, go through or experience can and will place us where we are meant/needed to be!

I say that, and I am struck by the levity of that statement! We were created for and with a purpose! Nobody can do your assignments as good as you can. You have a purpose, a reason, a calling… I am aware this is ‘deep,’ but no one, no other person can do for a situation what you were DESIGNED for!

All David went through was for a purpose. Watchingthe sheep, playing the harpsichord, fighting off the prowling animals, and once he had been brought into the palace, playing harp for king Saul when God’s Spirit left him 1 Samuel 16:14-23.
It goes on and on.

Yes, we can and do see that David misstepped; commiting adultery, planning and having the murder of Bathseba’s husband. So many things can be learned hear, but all in all even though he ‘misstepped’ he always found his way back to performing The Will of God.

David was tested many a time, the most brazen was his refusal to slay king Saul when The LORD placed a deep sleep over the camp of the Isrealites under Saul, who had come to slay David and his men 1 Samuel 24. We note here that the reason David gave for not killing Saul while he slept was he stated “‘I will not put out my hand against my leader, for he is the Lord’s chosen one.” 1 Samuel 24:10b

We have leadings (even with reasons) many a time. Are they in line with The Word?

Our ways are known. Hold on to His outstretched are! We can do ALL in God’s Will with God on our side.

God blessed day to y’all

What are you?
