And we learn…

*👍HOW TO STAY YOUNG*

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay ‘them’

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.. Never let the brain idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’ And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5.. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

And if you don’t send this to at least 8 people – who cares?

But do share this with someone. We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

Worry about nothing, pray about everything!

Is God Silent?

There are times in our lives when we believe God is silent, that He is not present in our immediate situation. That our prayers have fallen on deaf ears.

But is God ever really silent?

No earnest and believing prayer to God  ever falls on deaf ears. To the contrary, our omnipotent Father knows your prayer before the first utterance of a syllable parts your lips.

Mother Teresa has said, “the language of God is silence and that if our heart is filled with other things, we can’t hear His voice”. Her words follow that of John of the Cross, a Catholic saint of the contemplative who wrote that: “Silence is God’s first language.”

God is never silent!!!

He is speaking to us all the time, we are just to filled with worldly distractions to ‘hear.’ God’s language is silence, not on His part, but on our part!!!

To ‘hear’ God speak, WE must be silent! We must be in our quiet place or space, in a peaceful, mind-emptied, contemplative  state in order to communicate with God and to hear from Him.

That time is known as Prayer. That place, our prayer closet.

We cannot be surrounded by noise, or be noisemakers and expect to hear His voice, when our hearts and minds are not free of earthly encumbrances. No, God is not silent, we are just noisy and in the midst of it can’t hear Him speaking.

God communicates in many ways. In a tiny voice that speaks to our hearts or brains. A whisper in our ears. An affirmation from a stranger (an angel in disguise) or a Christian friend. A vision, a dream, a premonition. An encounter and in so many other ways. But we must be still, silent and an open, receptive vessel to hear.

Father God, peace be still. Help me to hear you in silence!!! Calm my soul. Still my thoughts. Quiet my tongue so that I may be immersed totally in you through your spirit that lives in me. Amen 🙏🏽

Psalms speak to us

We have something to offer God – our Love!
It is overshadowed by The Love The Lord offers and gives us in return. He is Love!!!

In His Word, He has said: “Because he/she hath set his/her love upon me, therefore will I deliver him/her: I will set him/her on high, because he/she hath known My name. They shall call upon Me, and I will answer them: I will be with them in trouble; I will deliver them, and honor them. With long life will I satisfy my children, and shew them my salvation. Amen

Psalm 91:14-16

Let us go forth in faith in all our ways and do awesome things for and by the grace of God. His grace is sufficient for you! I know why we share this, do you?

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

Psalm 23 as it applies today and even BEFORE it was written applied to our brethren. Our God is for ALWAYS!!!

The Lord is my Shepherd- (God is my caretaker, leader and provider)
I shall not want (He provides for all my needs)
He makes me to lie down in green pastures (He leads me in pleasant places where I can happily live and rest)
He leads me beside still waters (He makes sure I have all that I need for sustenance)
He restores my soul (He gives life to my inner being)
He prepares a table for me in the presence of my enemies (God allows my enemies to see that He will protect me from them and will allow me to prosper)
He anoints my head with oil (He marks my life with His blessing)
My cup runs over (He gives generously to me all that I need, so that I can share and give to others)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life (not a day goes by when God’s goodness is not with me, evident at the mere asking – Pray!)
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (I will be with God in His house eternally, Amen14b6b5d67805cf0617f4d83a24dba238--you-are-mine-you-are-loved8996622793413647381.jpg)

Good morning

Our words all ways we tread

Let us pray:
OH GOD, I depend on you. I have no power of my own. When things are going well for me, I know they have come from you and that I have no power of my own. In my trials I rely on you. In my temptations I trust in you. My success is in your hands and so is my life. I have no power of my own. Oh God, I cannot do without you. Save me from all evil and guide my going out and coming in , now and forever more. Amen. Prayer is so powerful, we are blessed to have the ability to ask, seek find. Our prayers are rooted in our dependence on God, Amen

And we pray…

Sing to The LORD, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts.

There abideth glory in His holy name, His Throne is a throne of grace; let the hearts of those who seek The Lord rejoice. For as we search, we shall find Him, Amen. Seek diligently and continually be blessed as you do, Amen

Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

Remember the wonders He has done.

His miracles and the judgments He pronounced

are ever before us.

1 Chronicles 16:9-12

Beloved I pray with you, The Almighty God shall never disown you. He shall always be your Father because you belong to Him. And you shall in all your ways be His child.

His mercy shall never be taken from you in Jesus’ Name, Amen

Shalom!

For in each day we pray, knowing that…

The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way.

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

For Thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall He teach in the way that he shall choose. his soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the Earth.

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His promises.

mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn Thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring Thou me out of my distresses.

LORD, look upon mine affliction and my pain for You see all and know all,
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give accoun. Hebrews 4:13

LORD, forgive all my sins. Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in Thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on Thee, Amen

Psalm 25:9-21
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Giving thanks? Why?

You woke up! You have another chance? You exist! Reason enough?
