What is life about?
–Luke 12:15
The question of the meaning of life may be asked in many ways, such as Why are we here? or Does my life have a purpose? The Bible shows that our purpose in life is to build a friendship with God. Consider some of these fundamental truths that the Bible reveals.
God is our Creator. The Bible says: “It is [God] that has made us, and not we ourselves.”—Psalm 100:3; Revelation 4:11.
God has a purpose for everything he creates, including us.—Isaiah 45:18.
God created us with a “spiritual need,” which includes the desire to find meaning in life. (Matthew 5:3) He wants us to satisfy that desire.—Psalm 145:16.
We fill our spiritual need by building a friendship with God. Although the idea of being God’s friend might seem far-fetched to some, the Bible gives us this encouragement: “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.”—James 4:8; 2:23.
To become God’s friend, we must live in harmony with his purpose for us. The Bible states this purpose at Ecclesiastes 12:13: “Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for.”—Good News Translation.
In the future, we can experience in full God’s original purpose for us when he eliminates suffering and grants everlasting life to his friends, those who worship him.—Psalm 37:10, 11.
_*Mean Moms*_
Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me:
‘I loved you enough to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that should have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment, and tears in my eyes.
Children must learn that their parents aren’t perfect..
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it.
Those were the most difficult battles of all.
I’m glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.
And someday when your children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.
Was your Mom mean?
I know mine was.
We had the meanest mother in the whole world!
While other kids ate candy for breakfast, we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast.
When others had a Coca Cola and chips for lunch, we had to eat home cooked meals.
And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was different from what other kids had, too.
Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times. You’d think we were convicts in a prison.
She had to know who our friends were and what we were doing with them.
She insisted that if we said we would be gone for an hour, we would be gone for an hour or less.
We were ashamed to admit it, but she had the nerve to break the Child Labour Laws by making us work.
We had to wash the dishes, make the beds, learn to cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry, empty the trash and all sorts of cruel jobs. I think she would lie awake at night thinking of more things for us to do.
She always insisted on us telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
By the time we were teenagers, she could read our minds and had eyes in the back of her head.
Then, life was really tough!
Mother wouldn’t let our friends just hoot at the gate when they drove up, they had to come up to the door so she could meet them.
Because of our mother we missed out on lots of things other kids experienced.
None of us have ever been caught shoplifting/stealing, prostituting, vandalizing other people’s property or ever arrested for any crime. It was all her fault.
Now that we have left home, we are all educated, honest adults. We are doing our best to be mean parents just like Mom was.
I think that is what’s wrong with the world today. It just doesn’t have enough mean moms!’
God’s Promise to Prodigals
God’s Promise to Prodigals
Luke 15:20-24
O LORD, cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You, in the name of Jesus
Psalm 143:8
Observe carefully and prayerfully what the father did for his prodigal son the moment he humbled himself and said, “I have sinned…” v. 18
Why? Because God will do the same for you.
1. The father said to his servants, “Bring out the best robe and put it on him…”(v. 22). Can you imagine what this boy smelled like and looked like, after wallowing in the muck of a pig sty? Can you identify with him? Good news: God covers our sinfulness in the robe of Christ’s righteousness. And from that point on He sees us “in Christ.” Therefore we are always acceptable in His eyes.
2. The father said “…Put a ring on his hand…” (v. 22) This was the
family signet ring used in transacting business. When placed on wax, it was equal to a signature. More good news: God doesn’t partially restore you; He recommissions you and gives you back full authority to do business in His name.
3. “Put…sandals on his feet.” (v. 22). The prodigal son was getting ready to say to his father, “I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants” (v. 19). In those days hired servants didn’t wear shoes in public; only sons did. How wonderful—his father gave him the full rights of sonship.
4. “Bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry” (v.23 ). You don’t fatten a calf overnight! The father had been planning this celebration for a long time. He never gave up on his son and the word for you today is: God hasn’t given up on you either! Come back to Him and let Him restore you.
Prayers
▪ Lord, cause me to know your lovingkindness, in the name of Jesus.
▪ I receive grace to be humble, in the name of Jesus.
▪ I shall be celebrated this year, in the name of Jesus.
“he shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” Psalm 91:15
“he shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” Psalm 91:15
when I read this, the word ‘he’ stands out. In time, more likely than not it was written as a teaching to the main individuals at that time. In the synagogues the ‘male’ was predominant. This got me to dwelling on what is…
Matthew 22:30 speaks of people after the resurrection not participating in marriage–they become “like the angels.” However, this does not mean people are genderless. The masculine, not neuter, pronoun is used many times to describe angels (and HE was like…HIS appearance was like, etc.). So there is no real indication that the angels are genderless beings.
There is nothing in the Bible that indicates people will lose or change their gender in heaven. In the book of Revelation (chapters 21-22), it seems that God is making things not just like they were in the Garden of Eden, but even better. Remember that gender is not bad–it is actually a good thing. God created Eve because Adam needed someone to complement him. Marriage (impossible without different genders), the model relationship between a man and a woman, is a picture of Christ and the church. The church is the bride and Christ is the groom (Ephesians 5:25-32).
Although it is not explicitly taught in the Bible, it seems most likely that people retain their gender after death. Our genders are a part of who we are. Gender is more than physical–it is part of our very nature and part of the way we relate to God. Therefore, it seems that gender will be perfected and glorified in eternity. It is also noteworthy that Jesus retained His gender after His death and resurrection.
Will there be ‘gender’ in Heaven? Yes, there will be male and female in Heaven. We will still retain our physical genders. However, there will not be procreation nor will we be married to our spouses anymore. We are able to derive this off of the resurrection of Christ.
“He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything,” (Colossians 1:18).
We see from this verse that Jesus is the “firstborn from the dead.” This means he is the first one to be raised from the dead in a glorified, resurrected body. This is explained in the following verses.
“So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body,” (1 Cor. 15:42-44).
So, we can conclude that we will follow in our resurrected bodies in the same way Jesus Rose with his. We see that he retained his crucifixion wounds and his gender.
“After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then He *said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing,” (John 20:26-27).
It was Jesus who appeared to Thomas. Jesus is a man, and Thomas recognized Him. Therefore Jesus retained his gender after His resurrection. Furthermore, Jesus retained His crucifixion wounds further demonstrating He retained His physical characteristics.
So, we conclude that we will retain our ‘gender’ when we are resurrected in our new glorified ‘status’ not ‘physical’ any more but ‘spiritual’ and go to Heaven. But, as I said at the beginning of this sharing, we will not be married nor will we have any need of procreation, for we are ‘created’ beings with a purpose.
But, some might ask how this is possible since the Bible says…
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus,” (Galatians 3:28).
This verse is not saying there will not be male and female genders in Heaven. It is saying that “in Christ” there is neither male nor female. “In Christ” designates representation and salvation. Gal. 3:28 is saying that when it comes to salvation, gender does not matter. In addition, the phrase “in Christ” designates a doctrine known as federal headship where the male represents the descendants. This is why we have verses such as…
“for as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive,” (1 Corinthians 15:22).
“In Adam” and “in Christ” are terms of representation. Adam represented all humanity and Christ represented His people.
Heavenly Father we approach Your throne of mercy, realizing that in and through You we ALL we want, need and desire. You are our ALL. Thank You Father for The plenty You have showered upon me. I thank You for today and praise You for my yesteryear. As I progress on my journey home, be with me in ALL I do, be glorified in my going out and coming in. Where I was wronged help me forgive as You forgive me. In my lack, I am in need. Glory! Father for Your provision -ALL my needs are supplied according to Your all mighty essence. By Your grace, this is a testimony filled period as we strive to Your presence in Jesus’ name, Amen
At times we have burdens! Where do we find relief? How? Why? Every time I point out The Word, there are those who do not accept it as fact. “Dreams!” They call them. Is it wrong to ‘dream’? How much more so if there is a chance that the dreams do come tru
At times we have burdens! Where do we find relief? How? Why? Every time I point out The Word, there are those who do not accept it as fact. “Dreams!” They call them. Is it wrong to ‘dream’? How much more so if there is a chance that the dreams do come true?
In studying The Word, I was touched by fact:
“Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: let such as Love Thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified!
And we speak truth saying: “I am poor and needy; yet The LORD thinketh upon me: Thou Father art my help and my deliverer, Amen; And we state in prayer and praise – make no tarrying, O my God. Psalm 40:16,17
Tarry=Time: This means physical ‘time’ was created by God. It may be the case that metaphysical time is infinite or that God created “pure duration” (metaphysical time) also. In the latter case, God had to be timeless.

There are so many things that we need\want, at times we ‘wait on The LORD.’ God’s time is the best time, Amen
One character that His Spirit within us gifts us with is patience:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…” Galatians 5:22

What do we pray for? A day for us is 24 hours. Where there is no sun, but light is from The Glory of God, a day is as a thousand years
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you…”
2 Peter 3:8,9

we need to understand what IS. Ask in faith, knock and the door shall be opened, in need- seek and you shall find.
Father LORD, I thank You for all. I give you glory, I lay prostrate before You in thanksgiving and spiritual worship. All glory is Yours Father, I thank You for all I recieve. Father all I recieve is a testimony, guide me as I share. You are my ALL Father, I am filled with gratitude for ALL you have given to me, I pray in Jesus’ name, The Author and finisher of my faith, Amen
Believe! Is that not how we live?

Why do I smile?
Q: What makes you smile all the time?
A: The Spirit IS one in ALL of us, Amen.
When you don’t have faith, I believe for both of us. Amen
When scared, God places his cloak around us, and we have an Earthly ‘mis-understood’ calm, this is a peace which passes ALL understanding.
Hungry? Needy? Without? God supplies ALL our needs according to His Glory that blinds all. He made the Universe, there is the sun at the center of ours! He made it! Can it shine brighter than it’s Creator? To share a little more, The Sun is at the center of our Galaxy, God (as we know Him) is The center of our lives, our existence… When we are in His perfect will, our desires Spiritually are met.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
