Mass: December 3 2017

Reading 1

You, LORD, are our Father;

Our redeemer, you are named forever.

GOD is known as our God and our redeemer.  When God beckoned Moses, he asked God, ‘Who should I say sent me?’

In the Septuagint Exodus 3:14(the Septuagint, also known as LXX, is the oldest translation of the Old Testament known to man. It was translated by the Greeks and was accepted by Christ and the Jews of Alexandria, even prior to the Christian Era. It is used to correct and verify the Hebrew Bible) Exodus 3:14 l, God said unto Moses, I am HE WHO IS (ho ōn): and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, HE WHO IS (ho ōn) hath sent me unto you.

Why do you let us wander, O LORD, from your ways,

and harden our hearts so that we fear you not?

(There is text on this, we can discuss it if you wish, it’s called The Wandering People of God: An Investigation of the Letter to the Hebrews. https://www.amazon.com/dp/157910875X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_q7gjAbZ3JMMWX)

Return for the sake of your servants,

the tribes of your heritage.

Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down,

with the mountains quaking before you,

while you wrought awesome deeds we could not hope for, or speak of,

such as they had not heard of from of old to present,

No ear has ever heard, no eye ever seen, any god before Thee but you are our ALL, Amen;

doing such deeds for those who wait for You LORD.

We pray in earnst that you might meet us doing right,

that we are mindful of you in our every way, every moment!

Behold, you are angry, and we are sinful;

all of us have become like unclean people,

all our good deeds are like polluted rags before Thee,

You have Loved us in our iniquity;

we have all withered like leaves,

and our guilt carries us away like the wind.

There is none who calls upon Your name,

who rouses himself to cling to You;

for You have hidden your face from us

and have delivered us up to our guilt.

Yet, O LORD, you are our Father;

we are the clay and You the potter:

we are all the work of Your hands.

Isaiah 63:16B-17, 19B; 64:2-7

Responsorial Psalm:

Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.

O shepherd of Israel, hearken

from your throne upon the cherubim, shine forth.

Rouse your power,

and come to save us.

Response: Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.

Once again, O LORD of hosts,

look down from heaven, and see;

take care of this vine,

and protect what your right hand has planted

the son of man whom You yourself made strong.

Response: Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.

May your help be with the man of your right hand,

with the son of man whom You yourself made strong.

Then we will no more withdraw from You;

give us new life, and we will call upon your name.

Response: Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved.

Psalms 80:2-3, 15-16, 18-19

with all discourse and all knowledge,

as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you,

so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, Amen

as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He will keep you firm to the end, Amen

Gospel

Jesus said to His disciples:

“Be watchful! Be alert!

You do not know when the time will come.

It is like a man traveling abroad.

He leaves home and places his servants in charge,

each with his own work,

and orders the gatekeeper to be on the watch.

Watch, therefore;

you do not know when the Lord of the house is coming,

whether in the evening, or at midnight,

or at cockcrow, or in the morning.

May He not come suddenly and find you sleeping.

What I say to you, I say to all: ‘Watch!'”

Mark 13:33-37

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:36

We may live in an age of knowledge, even The Son of God was not told the day or hour, in our Spirit it is called upon us to:

In Thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in Thy righteousness shall they be exalted. For Thou art the glory of their strength: and in Thy favour our horn shall be exalted. For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our King. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of Thy countenance. Psalm 89:15-18

Mass December 10 2017

Sharing from Mass services of December 10, 2017.
Comfort, give comfort to my people, says your God.

Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her service is at an end, her guilt is expiated; indeed, she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.

A voice cries out in the desert, “prepare the way of the LORD!  Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God!  Every valley shall be filled in,  every mountain and hill shall be made low; the rugged land shall be made a plain, the rough country a broad valley.  Then the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all people shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

What is, is…Amen!!  In the beginning, the LORD spoke and it was the galaxy, the planet’s and all physical.  From the unseen was created the seen. Amen

“Go up on to a high mountain, Zion, herald of glad tidings; cry out at the top of your voice, ‘Jerusalem, herald of good news!  Fear not to cry out and say to the cities of Judah:  ‘Here is your God!  Here comes with power the Lord GOD, who rules by His strong arm; here is His reward with Him, His recompense before Him.  Like a shepherd He feeds us- His flock;  In His arms He gathers the lamb that we are, carrying them in His bosom, and leading the young with care.’” Amen

“Lord, let us see your kindness and grant us your salvation.” Amen

“I will hear what God proclaims; for He proclaims peace to His people.

Near, indeed, is His salvation to those who fear Him. Glory dwelling in our land.”

R. LORD, let us see your kindness, and grant us your salvation.

Kindness and truth shall meet, as it is in and with You; justice  and peace shall kiss.

Truth shall spring out of the Earth, and justice shall look down from Heaven.”

LORD, let us see your kindness and grant us your salvation.

The LORD Himself will give His benefits; our land shall yield its increase.

Justice shall walk before Him, and prepare the way of His steps.

We are taught that the steps of The LORD were heard in the garden of Eden when The LORD approached.  In HIS image we are made. Amen

LORD, let us see Your kindness, and grant us Your salvation.

Psalms 85:9-14

Do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the LORD one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

The LORD does not delay His promise, as some regard “delay,” but He is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the LORD will come like a thief, and then the Heavens will pass away with a mighty roar, the elements will be dissolved by fire, and the Earth and everything done on it will be found out.

For with each believer resides a guardian angel to observe all we do, shall we not perform as directed?

Even if we have not an all seeing and knowing GOD, are we not cognizant of our actions? What we do and fail to do? In our spirit is the record of our acts, thoughts, desires.  Are we prepared to give account. What we may ‘think’ that is not in The Lord’s will; can we not cast it aside as charge as we wean our Spirit to sprout in His will? The MORE we develop, the stronger we grow.

For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.

Proverbs 24:16

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.

1 Corinthians 10:11

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.

Proverbs 11:2

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead.

Philippians 3:13

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:2-4

Since everything is to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought you to be? Conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire.

But according to His promise we await new Heavens and a new Earth, in which righteousness dwells. Amen

Therefore beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before Him, at peace, Amen .
Alleluia

R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Prepare the way of the LORD, make straight His paths:  All flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Luke 3:4, 6

Gospel

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet:

Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you;

He will prepare your way.

A voice of one crying out in the desert:

“Prepare the way of the LORD,

make straight His paths.”

John the Baptist appeared in the desert proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

People of the whole Judean countryside and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the Jordan River as they acknowledged their sins.

John was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist.

He fed on locusts and wild honey. And this is what he proclaimed:  “One mightier than I is coming after me.

I am not worthy to stoop and loosen the thongs of His sandals.

I have baptized you with water;

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

Mark 1:1-8

We are blessed to be in Him, all is known, our acts, our faults, our difficulties, our triumphs. Turn to Him, our Father in Heaven who knows and sees all.  Will we not cry to Him who knows? That we may be delivered and His glory shine in and around us.  Amen

Be blessed.

A: “Hmm! I think I heard something that I like, and say a HUGE, Amen to!”

B: “Tell me, tell me, tell me!”

A: “It is verse from Psalms that is definitely an Amen prayer/thought/desire/want. It goes thus ‘Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.’ It is from Psalm 91:8 I think. Check it out! It says to me ‘As long as I am led by , I shall see and not recieve ‘the reward of the wicked!”
B: “I see! That may have passed me by, but I’ve heard it before. What does it truly mean?”
A: “I have thought of that too, and can explain it…The psalmist describes two sides of the character of the wicked in Psalm 10:2–11. Structurally each description is five verses long and ends with the inner thoughts of the unjust oppressor, “He says in his heart” (10:6, 11). Two words summarize these wicked oppressors: arrogant and aggressive. Their pride and violence spell disaster for anyone who stands in their way.”

B: “Man! Being with you is like church! I am always learning!”

A: “Dude! No, no, no! I am always learning from you. We build each other up. Thank !

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…” 1 Thessalonians 5:11a

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Hebrews 10:24-25

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”

Ephesians 4:29

“So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.”

Romans 14:19

“What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

1 Corinthians 14:26

How does He feel?

I just shared that we have a ‘jealous God.’ By that I mean that someone or something is in possession of something that He (God) rightfully should have!

So many times our wants and desires are focused on various things. We convince ourselves that we want and need something or someone or we turn our focus on that which we believe holds promise. In these scenarios, we are distracted by earthly pursuits and not spiritual ones. This is what it means that we are blessed with a jealous God. Have we ever heard the words “Mine, mine, mine?”  They are uttered by an individual that sees something that is truly theirs or that they want.

However, scripture tells us that we have a jealous God because we were created for His purpose. But at times, we wander off in search of… things that have no relevance to Kingdom building. Now, just where did I get that notion?

In Exodus 20:5, it is not that God is jealous or envious because someone has something He wants or needs.  Rather, Exodus 20:4-5 says, “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God…” Notice that God is jealous when someone gives to another something that rightly belongs to Him, such as our praise and worship. He is also hurt when we turn from Him. He and He alone has supplied all our needs according to His endless Riches in Glory. We sing “Gloria, Hoseanna in the Highest,” and do not understand its far reaching meaning.

glo·ry

ˈɡlôrē/ a noun

1. High renown or honor won by notable achievements.

“to fight and die for the glory of one’s nation”

synonyms: renown, fame, prestige, honor, distinction, kudos, eminence, acclaim, praise; More

2. Magnificence or great beauty.

“the train has been restored to all its former glory”

synonyms: magnificence, splendor, resplendence, grandeur, majesty, greatness, nobility.

It can also be used as a verb:

1. Take great pride or pleasure in

“they were individuals who gloried in their independence”

synonyms: take pleasure in, revel in, rejoice in, delight in; relish, savor; congratulate oneself on, be proud of, boast about, bask in; informal get a kick out of, get a thrill out of,

“we gloried in our independence”

We serve a ‘jealous’’ God, understandably so.  As was pointed out above, we search for and give glory to things that are products of our hands!  One does not need to point out what we need to focus on.  Be blessed.

The GLORY of God! In temptation, “flee” pronouncing The Word. Know it, so it does not get ‘twisted.’

Quite a few times we have ‘recited’ and learned this verse.  Let’s head down memory lane and be blessed yet again! We live in blessing! Bathe in it, plunge in deep, swim in it, float in it.  Blessing is our support, faith, our access point. The doors of ‘Faithing’ are thrown wide open when we let go!

Jumping out of a plane and parachuting can be an experience. From exiting the plane, dropping, twirling and aligning yourself “spread eagle” and soaring (Oops! Did I say soaring?) Dropping ever so quickly… but it is a rush! Time stands still. IF there is a photographer, you are smiling and thumbs-upping it, all while falling.  To? Yes it is frighteningly exhilarating. Has anyone done this and gotten hurt? Undoubtedly.  But on that free fall you let all go, and just drop with exhilaration.

I wondered why I did this, and it is explicable — for the rush. The experience allows one to “leave it all behind,”— the worries, fears, bonds of mistrust, lasso failure and just-hope… Yes, hope is a big thing. Hope is so many things; a knowledge of the gratitude to stand when it is over.  To live, to have your parachute open… Yes! There is a back-up parachute or even another jumper who can guide you down in most cases, but neither diminish the thrill. But let us Look at this in another context!  Let’s take it to the Spiritual realm!

At times we feel ourselves falling, out of control, lost, bewildered…

“A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but the worry, shame, depression, lack shall not come nigh thee.” Psalm 91:7 and, “Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” Amen.

“Because you hast made the LORD, which is The source of all thy refuge, even the most High, thy dwelling place,” Amen.

“For in so believing, faithing and being blessed, there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”

Check this out:  “For He shall give his Angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Read this again! We are aware that we are on and in a “stage” (of life).  There are roundabout witnesses we most times do not see.

Check this out:  “And Elisha prayed, and said, Jehovah, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17

“And what will the host that have been assigned to us on the stage of life do? They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:7-12

We discussed this in terms of the temptations of Christ. The second temptation was when He was taken to the pinnacle of the temple. This gives us a glimpse at the power and authority given Satan. When God gives, He gives. The same Jesus who was tempted to turn stones to bread for the ravenous hunger that befell Him, could not have walked up the temple parapet, but The Word says “He was led.”

“The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. ‘If you are the Son of God,’ he said, ‘throw yourself down from here. For it is written:

He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’

“Jesus answered, ‘It is said: Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”

Luke 4:9-12

Physically, or in The Spirit, it is not important at this point BUT Satan asked Him to jump, and as The Word says, the Angels Of The LORD will bear Thee up.  A definite misquotation of The Word.  The Word doesn’t say, “Test God!” But, rather “Let God be God!” Amen

Good Morning, God day 😊

“But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and wickedness.”

– 1 John 1:9

About this, we can say so much.  But, simply – Make it a habit to speak with Him daily.  To walk with Him.  To be under His grace, protection and strength.

Even if, or when we feel there is no Love to give or share, His Love towards us is unchanging. God is always a place to run to, to relax, relate and release with.  Amen

The number “12”

Good Morning!

Happy blessed month of ‘SONG OF VICTORY OF HALLELUJAH!’

“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth forever:  forsake not the works of Thine Own hands.”
Psalm 138:8

This is the twelfth month:  Twelve can be found in 187 places in God’s word. Revelation alone has 22 occurrences of the number. The meaning of 12, which is considered a perfect number, is that it symbolizes God’s power and authority, as well as serving as a perfect governmental foundation. It can also symbolise completeness or the nation of Israel as a whole. For example, Jacob (Israel) had twelve sons, each of which represented a tribe begun by a prince, for 12 princes total. Ishmael, who was born to Abraham through Hagar, also had twelve princes.

Christ called and choose twelve men to bear witness to what He did and to spread the good news of the gospel to the entire world. After He was raised from the dead, Jesus told the eleven disciples (Judas had killed himself) that God had given Him ALL power and authority in both earth and heaven (God’s divine authority – Matthew 28:18).

Twelve thousand from each tribe of Israel (144,000 total) will receive salvation during the end time’s Great Tribulation (Revelation 7). Another set of 144,000 (12 x 12,000) will be taken from earth in order to serve and follow the Lamb of God (Revelation 14:1 – 5). Christ’s bride in Revelation 12, the church, wears a crown containing twelve stars.

The New Jerusalem, which is made in heaven and brought to the earth by God Himself, contains 12 gates made of pearl which are each manned by an angel. Over each gate will be one of the names of Israel’s twelve tribes. The walls are 144 cubits high (12 multiplied by itself – Revelation 21:16 – 17), with the city itself being 12,000 furlongs square.

Therefore:  “God will perfect all that concerns you; and make you complete in every sense and ramifications!”
In Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen!!!
Beloved, welcome to the Month of perfection with a song of Victory of Hallelujah in Christ Jesus. Amen!!!

An every day prayer

OH GOD, I depend on you.  I have no power of my own.  When things are going well for me, I know they have come from you and that I have no power of my own. In my trials I rely on you.  In my temptations I trust in you.  My success is in your hands and so is my life.  I have no power of my own.  Oh God, I cannot do without you.  Save me from all evil and guide my going out and coming in, now and forever more.  In Jesus name.  Amen.
Great Prayer… Feel free to share as led.
