I continue reading Psalm 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
There is no end to God’s promises. In the three temptations as shared a host of onlookers in the spiritual realm looked on. Quite a few things to point out, Jesus was tempted over the 40 days. No food, no water, to sleep without a man-made shelter? Reptiles? Fouls weather? It goes on, many have not thought of this. A lack of nutrition (weakness set in- cramps, an inability to hold yourself upright.) He had a Spiritual audience.
To break it down; this was before He started His ministry! Have you thought of that? Before! In essence He had to prepare Himself! We might think that Angels came and helped Him in the wilderness, but this is what He had to do before starting His ministry.
A thing we have not focused on is there was so much in the way of temptation that finally before the point of death Satan came to tempt Him. First, with the easiest, most apparent temptation. “You are hungry, turn these stones into bread…” Jesus answered with The Bible. At this point, I will ask “Are you cognizant of The Word? How it affects and effects you?” To be able to remember, quote it, lay it out at the ‘right’ time is a blessing. A challenge yes? But, we have an example.
Again, all the temptations He overcame in the wild, He was tested/tried by the king of all temptation. At times when we go through temptation, we are tempted by his minions. To be tempted by the father of all temptation takes a lot. Satan’s last effort to take a stand and change the course of His-story.
Let me be quick to point out that Angels did not come to minister to Jesus until after the third and last temptation. We have pointed out that we are on a stage, spectators on both sides. Will she/he do it? Is always the ‘rub.’ We are provided with groud to stand against the temptations. Something we are asked not to do, there is a way! Even when we are in a particularly ‘tough’ spot. The Father sent Angels to Jesus to minister to Him after the temptations. We have Angels around us, as pointed out, we may not see them but they are there!
We have pointed out that Life is a stage. We are performing daily (24/7) on that stage. Let me share a few things I have noticed in English and other languages: “What is your role?” Role? A word that means “What part do you play?” Hold on! Wait a minute! All these words in our dialect point to exactly what we are talking about.
So, I should ask you; “What is your role?” And before you answer that: “You were created with and for a function!” Have you realized what that is yet? We have spoken about this a number of times, it beats raising again. We were all created (and allowed to be; for a REASON!) We can spend time watching ‘confused folk.’ We hear “I really don’t know…” That statement can go any which way. I will state fact: Time to know!
We have children (for those who have been blessed to have children.) As a parent, do you not attempt to direct your children to succeed. I mean, it is a constant battle till they either get it or move out. In essence, you did your part. But, in our Lives-the key influence is The Father of all. We just discussed a part of that very Father- His only begotten Son! That lays heavy on the spirit. A part of God! Made from God! We will state that when these things were spoken He was there! Let me state something that is not so obvious. Jesus left the Spiritual realm to be one of us. He went through what we go through. Trials, temptations… I will even state that He learned to walk. In Heaven, we do not have limbs you just are. Your description is who you are- Known to those who truly Love you.
I have been blessed to know the parent of a handicapped child. No speech, no words, the child is known and knows her family by heart. One would ask “where would that individual be after they pass?” All the communication is stored up. Here, we would say “If a formerly speechless person is given the ability to speak-watch out!” Goes without saying that the true words that need to be said (or communicated) are “I Love you!” That in itself means so much! Let us once again go to the definition of actual Love. I will start by saying God is Love! Can we then communicate “I God you???” What he’s communicated is the qualities that have been shown through time to be parts of Who our Father is “I have the same feelings for you!” Says so much, all of a sudden, we can see just how communication will be. As promised here it is, but we will make it shorter here “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Mind you; it says Love is not easily angered. It does not say Love is without anger. We have pointed out for us so many verses
“In your anger do not sin” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Ephesians 4:25-27
I was going to go through so many, but this says it best. Yes! As Christians we will be angry, but it says we will not let it be what makes us!
For the rest, feel free to read: http://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/anger-bible-verses/
To focus again on the fact that Jesus was angry and as opposed to listing the times, we read: http://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/galleries/6-things-that-made-jesus-angry.aspx?p=2
Even in the second temptation, Jesus was asked to question God’s Word. We do have Angels round about us, this does not mean that we should put our LORD God to the test. “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ” Satan said. He was refuted with The Word, Hallelujah!
And to round it up knowing that we are on a stage, Satan asked Jesus to kneel before him and ‘promised’ to give Him all He could want or need. This brings up potential for so much teaching. But to put it plainly; the plenty of this Earth is Satan’s to give to whomever he chooses. What comes next is revealed in your Spirit. We have The Promises that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory.
That Glory is indescribable. Moses could not see Him and was hid in a cleft till God passed by: “When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.” Exodus 33:22,23
The reason I quoted this is that our needs shall be supplied according to His riches in Glory. Let me point this out, God created the Universe, placed Earth so that its position is not too close or far from the sun. A topic for another sharing is the rotation of the planets around the sun. We talk about the wisdom of God? There is no comparison!
We have shared on these, but I wanted us to read again the awesome beauty of God’s grace, his knowledge and most importantly what we have in and through Him.
I will sing to the LORD because he is good to me.
Psalms 13: 6
Just how do we sing to The LORD? Have you been to a concert and Chad goosebumps? They are performing! Just as we have the ability to perform for The LORD in our every day. What is going to be your offering today?
To further point this out; Job in his everyday life served The LORD by bringing his sacrifices and praying. He was a dedicated worker, are we? In his life, there ensued calamity after calamity, and though encouraged to end it all; He continued trusting in The LORD!
We can read his wife’s comment: His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!” Job 2:9
Many respond to calamity and loss in world expected ways. In reading about Job, where would we be??? There is a reason he has been given a book of his own, written in honor of one who served God regardless of what occurred.
I have to ask again; “What would you have done?” First property, Children, Health. Amazing that he held on to the one thing in life that made sense when all else lost sense. He was suffering from none sense occurences (that is an on-purpose play with words.) But, seriously! We can see what ensued. Even though it seemed that occurences were ‘natural’, we have discussed the separation of the two plains. Things did seem to be brought on by the supernatural- they were!
In terms of natural, we have all we see. The amazing thing is that this is all ‘natural’, we talk ‘supernatural’, and that is what Angels are. Supernatural beings! They are above the ‘natural’ abilities we know. Let us see when an extreme supernatural being was ‘allowed’ to affect the way things were: “Satan replied, “Would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country. But now suppose you take away everything he has—he will curse you to your face!”
“All right,” the Lord said to Satan, “everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job himself.” So Satan left.” And released his supernatural ability on Job.
In life, we might be tried and in ways that would make us unable to be what we are gunning for. To be clearer, we aim for goals in Life. If something comes and stands in the way, I know this sounds crazy. PRAISE GOD!!! Give Him thanks in all things.
We have spent a few minutes on this blessing. Let us pray:
Lord El Shaddai, our protector, our giver, our all. We in our ability praise You. Father with our faces to the ground in adoration-You are our all. In You is Life, Love, Peace, Satisfaction. We were created for Your purpose. Lord, allow us to realize what that purpose is and keep You always before us. Through You we have all, Father, You created all; we beseech You to be In our Lives, touch our Spirits with Your Love. Father, make us whole. You are within us as Your Spirit, You came and rectified all which was asunder through Jesus. We are Yours! Use us to accomplish Your will Lord In Jesus name, Amen
We commit this day and every moment into Your hands, Lord in our actions, show us to Love You freely as You have Loved us. Place a new song in our mouths to sing every moment, so that we are in Your exact will always we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen and Amen
“Wow!!! I can’t believe it! I just won the lotto! I cannot believe I’m a millionaire.”
“Taxes, taxes; it’ll go super fast! I’d better introduce you to some “wall street” bankers.”
“I’m rich buddy, I definitely am not going to pay them to lose MY money!”
“I read something…”
“Ahhhh! Here we go! Some of your religious rubbish again??? Frankly, I’m too rich to care…”
“Well after this, I’m out!!!”
“Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.”
Need I say more???
