Y’all, a week passed by! Nary a time to ‘rest’ – chores, resposibilities, work, school, what we have, don’t have…I could go on!
You have an idea what I am going to share! Not! 🤔 What could it be?
1. Did you say Good Morning to family, friends, schoolmates, co worker’s today or any day this week?
2. At the end of the day, today… Did you wish a restful, recuperative weekend to…(you fill it in!)
Let me ask…How was your week?
I’ve got to ask! Why do I ask these questions?
Does anyone remember what Sunday was? At least here in The United States?
Father’s day!
🤔 Do you have a Dad? father some will say, I keep getting stuck on the verse Matthew 23:9 “And do not call anyone on Earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and He is in Heaven.”
This gives me much thought. I am studying text in the original verse to discover what is originally said.
At the most coarse; “Creator”, “Maker” are two terms that can be translated. For from God we have come! Just as we do and can say and mean “Mother.” Our male parent from whom we are a part of (because he is a part of you, or you have him in you…) As you see, this gets complex.
We DO NOT call anything God, we use “g” instead of “G”. ALL praise fo God, Amen
Without pausing, How was everyone’s father’s day? Were you wished a good day, great day, presents, hugs, kisses, high fives, pat’s on the back, cards, surprises…I could go on…
But this is an awesome day!
Did you wish your Heavenly Father a good period when you awoke this morning?
What is ‘speaking with The LORD?” Praying!
Chech this out: “Pray without ceasing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17
So, it says: “Speak with The LORD your God always!”
A good morning Father, a go before me, on arriving a “Thank you Father.”, during the day so many chances/occasions! Again The Word simply says “Pray always.”
Are you directed? Led? Stimulated? Do/have you measured it up to be according to God’s will?

I can understand your frustration when people around you seem to be hearing God’s voice and yet you don’t seem to be. It’s a good desire to want to hear His voice. But many times we make it out to be a lot more mysterious and harder than it should be, because we look to the wrong places for God’s voice.
It is actually very simple. The Bible is where God’s voice can be heard. 2 Peter 1:21 tells us that the Bible’s words ultimately came from God himself, even though he makes use of human authors. 2 Tim 3:16-17 tells us that the Bible is ‘God-breathed’ i.e. that the words has a divine origin. Jesus himself treated the whole Old Testament as God’s word (eg Mt 12:1-14, 19:4, 5:17-20). As for the New Testament, the apostles, whose witness is what brings us to faith in Jesus (John 20:30-31), made it clear that their words carry the authority as God’s words and are regarded as Scripture (2 Pet 3:16, Eph 2:20). Their authority comes from the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26, 15:26, 20:22).
So if you want to listen to God’s voice, then you need to read God’s word. One of my friends put it in a great way when he commented on his quiet time one morning. He said”I was praying, talking to God and then I opened my Bible and God won’t stop talking to me!”
We have a ‘good idea’ how to listen/hear The Word. Mind you Moses saw a burning bush that was NOT consumed. Many times, we expect to hear in the physical – The voice! In truth, have we earned it?
Ok, let us run through Scripture… Yes! Moses – a man experienced God in so many ways, Jacod Wrestled with The Spirit of God in The form of a Man.

Again, we could go on. Have you seen God? Experienced Him? The latter SO many can attest to. Let us experience God on! In no way is it a competition! It is an HONOR!
Strive for the seemingly impossible, Amen.
