I read a post by a fellow blogger, it spoke of many things and led me to share….

Blogging is a ‘new’ artform, years (a decade or so, old – possibly longer.) I started blogging after my near death experience. At the time, I was not aware of what existed.

My story is simple, I was too busy to find, understand or follow blogs before my experience. Even now I would be remiss to state that I have it fully understood. ONE thing strikes a nerve. Blogging is Millenia old! The letters to the congregations Roman’s, Corinthians, the Acts of the Apostles, Ephesians were in a way all blogs in a way! Yes! In those days they were penned on parchment and written in longhand with ink. Now we type or blog.

We can look back over our individual stories and shares. Simply, we can look back and see exactly what was written and it tells a story of what was and is!

The book of Ephesians as a blog starts with a greeting much like a blog!

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,

To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

And he rights on. Your words will live forever. It is notable to ensure for posterity that what you write truly embraces who you are! Have a message? If it is key, it will provide tenet for discussion for always.

I truly was led to blogging by The grace of God. In my coma, I had a dream. For those of you who may not have read that far back. I was in a Motor Vehicle Accident with brain injuries and paralysis on my right side.

In my dream, I was given options, two to be specific; “Stay or go.” With a pause, before me was a body of water that I had not noticed at the beginning of my ‘dream’. All I wanted to do was cross it. How? I had and have no idea how I would have done that. Even now having recovered, it is very possible that crossing would have been an end to my Earthly existence. Hence, the pause on my part. Then, with a pregnant pause, thinking it had been a scarce few hours, I stated I would share my experience with supposedly a group of five in the OR and/or staff on the patient ward and/or my office numbering less than 20-30 max.

Little at the time did I know what had actually happened! There was no way to know! I have read of people viewing their own bodies. This was not the case in my experience. There literally was no way to even understand what I (in my dream) had been through. I understand family now! In ways that I could not prior! I read The Word today and was smitten with a share:

This meant so very much! At the time of my experience, I could not understand just what that meant in full. To save space and time, I am sharing a link: https://www.medicalbillingandcoding.org/health-insurance-guide/understanding-medical-bills/

But this does not begin to explain what happened! By The ALL MIGHTY grace of God it was taken care of, Amen. How? I have not the faintest, but significant amounts of assets were transferred out of my name and I was left with nothing, a blessing actually. I had and have everything I need. Yes, my wants at seconds ‘notice’ might not seem met. But my needs are all met, Amen

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 ESV

So what does the Bible say about faith? Faith is defined as a complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Having faith in the love and sovereignty of God is arguably the most prevalent idea of the Bible. Scripture compels us to have faith in God and the commandments of his Word, following the teachings of the Old and New Testaments. In this collection of scripture passages, you will discover the most significant Bible verses about faith!

Matthew 21:22 ESV

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

Romans 10:17 ESV

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Mark 11:22-24 ESV

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

1 Corinthians 2:5 ESV

That your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

“What is a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)?”

Answer:
In the English Standard Version of the Bible, Romans 12:3 says, “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.” The New American Standard Bible, King James Version, and Holman Christian Standard Bible also contain “measure of faith,” while “measure of faith” is presented as “the faith God has distributed to each of you” in the New International Version and “the faith God has given us” in the New Living Translation.

Right away, two facts are apparent about the “measure of faith”: first, it is the standard by which we correctly appraise ourselves, and, second, it is meted out by God. Because each believer receives his measure of faith by God’s allotment, we are prevented from thinking of ourselves “more highly” than we ought.

Looking at the broader context of Romans 12:3, we notice there is something else given by God. The grace of God is mentioned as a gift to Paul in the same verse, and that same grace is mentioned as a gift to all believers in verse 6: “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” So, immediately following his discussion of the measure of faith, Paul speaks of the gifts of the Spirit: prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, and showing mercy.

Recognizing that our measure of faith comes from God prevents pride and encourages “sober judgment.” Each of us should recognize the limits of his or her own gifts. At the same time, we must acknowledge the gifts that others possess and that each believer is divinely placed into Christ as a vital and functioning part of His spiritual Body (Romans 12:4–8; cf. 1 Corinthians 12:27). No member should consider himself or herself as superior to any other but should instead recognize that God has placed us just where He wants us with the gifts He has chosen for us (1 Corinthians 12:11).

God has given to each a “measure of faith” to use for Him. This “faith” is the gift from which all the other gifts flow. Faith is the first gift we receive (for justification), and faith is the gift that brings the other gifts of the Spirit into our lives. When a person is born again, God gives him gifts as a new member of the family of God. We receive the gifts according to the measure that God has given us, and we exercise the gifts according to the same measure of faith.

“To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it” (Ephesians 4:7). God deals to everyone his portion. Not everyone receives all the gifts, nor is the same gift given to everyone in the same measure. Our sovereign God distributes each gracious gift according to the measure of faith that He has bestowed on us.

We are met at our point of “faith”, Amen

Complex?

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.”
— Matthew 13:31–32

When Jesus said, “If you have faith no bigger than a mustard seed…” (Lk 17:6) he was not saying faith comes in varying quantities, as in 16 oz. sized faith, or 32 oz. or super-sized. Yet, this is how so many religious people have mistakenly understood his words.

It is a mistake easily made.

A quick aside. If your faith starts as small as a mustard seed. Cultivate it and experience its expanse.

As you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in The gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under Heaven. Colossians 1:23

We live through/in/by faith, Amen.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealedfrom faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith. Galatians 3:11

And The LORD has said “But my righteous one shall live by faith,
    and if he shrinks back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

Faith is The KEY!

So, we ‘blog’? Colossians 1 blogged: “Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters in Christ:

Grace and peace to you from God our Father.”

Greetings. A ‘blog’ starter? I have read so many blogs. Culinary, wines, travel, literature….What were the Sistren and brethren awaiting? In those times, a letter (much like a blog). These exist today, Amen.

Think though! First; what do you want to express? This is your time to leave a ‘blog’ on the world. There are painters, musicians, cooks, doctors, military personnel, athletes…the list is endless. Who was the first president of your country? The first leader? History! If you think of it actually it is His majesty’s Story. Our Creator in ALL BEAUTY and EXCELENCE, Amen. You have been given a gift – use it. All the composers, creators, founders in art, music, careers, technology will always be remembered! Will you be remembered? For what?

Noone says it has to be lengthy, simply striking enough…

We walk on the edge and view what has sold for millions in different cultures. We could view different genres.

Most expensive photograph?

We could spend eons on this topic…cars?

Yes, yes, yes…blog’s (I would not leave that out!) https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/the-10-most-expensive-blogs-ever-sold/

All I am saying here is leave a taste of you in and for time.

This gets us back to our starting topic, a blogger remembering his roots. I know mine! I was given another chance and I will admit, starting again especially if you contributed to your demise; leaves many heads shaking and questions asked. It is not easy to grow up again, start from scratch. But, it needs to be done – step by step! Painful, frustrating as it may be. Think! In learning to walk, you never remember how many times you fell. What you know is now you walk! A blessing? Of course! But when you do, remember those who cannot walk! See!? Part of life, no? Uhh! A part of your life! There are all grades of sight or vision loss from loss of peripheral, blurry, clouded and blind with a smorgasbord of variations in between. Appreciate God and give thanks daily for what you have, Amen.

To not dawdle on this topic; do you walk, are you in a wheelchair, crutches, Walker, cane, stick, paralysis? You are! Give thanks in all things! We have touched on the Paralympics. The Paralympic Games are organized in parallel with the Olympic Games, while the IOC-recognized Special Olympics World Games include athletes with intellectual disabilities, and the Deaflympics include deaf athletes.

So, where does that put us?

LORD Heavenly Father, glory Hallelujah to Your Essence for and in each moment of our lives,

Father I request that here on Earth, You give me a taste of how things are in Heaven, for this is a far cry from Your dwelling place, but here we have a taste of Your glory, Amen

In the sunrises, sunsets, butterfly wings, rustling of leaves, gargle of brooks; flight of birds soaring in the sky, to the strength of cattle in the field. Beauty is of You – Glory Hallelujah, Amen

Lord give us this day our nutrition in spirit and body that You feed our hunger to know You more, Amen

In Heaven, Your Will is done, Father quicken me to always do, say, share and practice Your Word in every moment of my life, and after with You, Amen

Father, protect us and lead us well away from temptation, Amen.

  1. Excellent! Thank you. Can there be anything more important than faith? To give up our all to follow Him wherever He leads. Yes He does not give us more than we can endure but that endurance will test us to the core of our being.
