Jesus taught about prophets of old, for He was not led to perform works in the town where He had read the scrolls prophesying that The Word had come to be. All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. And we pray:
O Lord, all things are under the sway of Your providence. Not only in the life and sacrificial death of Your Son – Jesus, but also in our lives, the plan of You, our Heavenly Father, unfolds. This gives us confidence as we face the trials and temptations of life, and we know You will work it all together for our good and Your glory, Amen.
