For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness as He is knowing that it is The BIGGEST challenge of our lives – live it with joy! The Man therefore that despiseth, despiseth not Man, but God, Who hath also given unto us The holy Spirit.
When we despise God’s command to be holy and flee from fornication and all uncleanness, we are grieving the Holy Spirit and insulting our God. He has called us to holiness, and we must walk in holiness if we are to please Him.
David once cried out, “cleanse me with hyssop and I will be clean.” (Psalm 51:7) He was willing to undergo unpleasantness to “scrub” away his defilement if necessary. Let us also be willing to submit to unpleasant cleansing from sin, knowing the joy that comes with having a clean heart.
Father Lord, we approach You on our knees and plead to be cleansed white as snow. It may be unpleasant, cleanse us LORD with The blood of Jesus. Our spirit yearns to serve You in truth, free it Lord and let our spirit soar in Jesus’ name, Amen.
