O God, it is always better to follow You than to run from Your desire for each of us, Created for a purpose. But even if, like Jonah, I am in great trouble due to my wanderings, I know that you will hear the cry of the truly penitent heart. We are all often in need of undeserved deliverance.
And we speak with God:
Heavenly Father, above and beyond the Earthly letters of men, blessed are we to have received Your Word and grace. Teach us to walk in Your holy path of rectitude, as our ultimate Creator in everlasting life. Ensure that our devotion is first and foremost to You, O Lord, to Whose ultimate justice we submit our spirit. Allow us to animate Your moral order, and show us mercy. All this, in Your name. Amen.
