The Solar System contains the sun and objects that orbit it, including the eight planets, comets, and asteroids, and the Galaxy contains approximately 100 billion stars, of which the sun is one, as well as large clouds of gas and dust. – The universe contains all physical matter and energy.
This is the seen! What of the unseen?
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Does The Essence of Creation sit on a Throne? In the New Testament, The Throne of God is talked about in several forms. … The New Testament continues Jewish identification of Heaven itself as The “Throne of God“, but also locates the Throne of God as “in Heaven” and having a secondary seat at the Right Hand of God for the Session of Christ.
The Book of Enoch was considered as scripture in the Epistle of Barnabas (16:4) and by many of the early Church Fathers, such as Athenagoras, Clement of Alexandria, Irenaeus and Tertullian, who wrote c. 200 that the Book of Enoch had been rejected by the Jews because it contained prophecies pertaining to Christ.
Ten “Heavens”? Enoch describes the Heavens this way:
1. The first Heaven is just above the firmament (Genesis 1:6-7) where the angels control atmospheric phenomena such as the storehouses of snow and rain and the waters above.
2. In the second Heaven, Enoch finds darkness: a prison where rebel angels are tortured.
3. Third Heaven. In Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the Third Heaven is a division of Heaven in religious cosmology. In some traditions it is considered the abode of God, and in others a lower level of Paradise, commonly one of the seven.
According to this vision, all people will be resurrected and, at the Final Judgment, will be assigned to one of three degrees of glory, called the celestial, terrestrial, and telestial kingdoms.
A third concept of Heaven, also called shamayi h’shamayim (שׁמי השׁמים or “Heaven of Heavens“), is mentioned in such passages as Genesis 28:12, Deuteronomy 10:14 and 1 Kings 8:27 as a distinctly spiritual realm containing (or being traveled by) angels and God.
I was touched to meditate on a “Throne”, The Essence of God is not a literal “Throne.” The Essence of God is.
The depth is inconceivable! We seem to understand The Hand of God as literal! The Essence of God is indescribable!
How can we describe God?
For everything God Created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.
For we live by faith, not by sight.
“I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify Him with thanksgiving.” Psalm 69:30
“Oh come, let us sing to The Lord; let us make a joyful noise to The Rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!” Psalm 95:1-3
Woke up this morning? “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Amen.
We discussed ‘seasons’ in a recent, previous share…Shadrach, Mesach and Abdednego; Daniel; Job… Even Christ Who came just to do what He did!
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for He was Looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate His righteousness, for He Himself is fair and just, and He makes sinners right in His sight when they believe in Jesus.
Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
Do you speak to God?
My Lord and my God, You said that they are blessed who have not seen and yet believe. Yet while you are so close to me, I sometimes doubt your presence and refuse to believe unless I touch and see. Strengthen my faith that you are with me always as the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
Give me strength to live another day;
Let me not turn coward before its difficulties or prove recreant to its duties;
Let me not lose faith in other people;
Keep me sweet and sound of heart, in spite of ingratitude, treachery, or meanness;
Preserve me from minding little stings or giving them;
Help me to keep my heart clean, and to live so honestly and fearlessly that no outward failure can dishearten me or take away the joy of conscious integrity;
Open wide the eyes of my soul that I may see good in all things;
Grant me this day some new vision of thy truth;
Inspire me with the spirit of joy and gladness;
and make me the cup of strength to suffering souls;
in the name of the strong Deliverer, our only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
I will try this day to live a simple, sincere and serene life, repelling promptly every thought of discontent, anxiety, discouragement, impurity, and self-seeking; cultivating cheerfulness, magnanimity, charity, and the habit of holy silence; exercising economy in expenditure, generosity in giving, carefulness in conversation, diligence in appointed service, fidelity to every trust, and a childlike faith in God.
In particular I will try to be faithful in those habits of prayer, work, study, physical exercise, eating, and sleep which I believe the Holy Spirit has shown me to be right.
And as I cannot in my own strength do this, nor even with a hope of success attempt it, I look to thee, O Lord God my Father, in Jesus my Savior, and ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
