A “Lot” to say…

Get out of this place, because The Lord will destroy the city!—Gen. 19:14.

In the past, God was pleased to protect his people when they unitedly helped one another to face distressing times. Modern-day servants of God, whether young or old, can learn from Bible examples. One such example involved Lot. Lot and his family were in a perilous situation because destruction was going to come on Sodom, the city where they lived. God’s angels urged Lot to leave and to find safety in the mountainous region, saying: “Escape for your life!” Gen. 19:12-22 Lot obeyed, and his two daughters cooperated with him in leaving the city. Sadly, others close to them did not. To the younger men who were engaged to Lot’s daughters, the older man “seemed to be joking.” That cost them their lives. Only Lot and his daughters, who stuck close to him, survived.

A huge lesson in this. When we feel led, do we do as instructed? We may be led or feel led. We need to balance it according to The Word. So many times recently, O have had to measure things up according to His Word.
Love means to not insist on your own way. Though things might be rough, tough and tumble; we have His promises to lean heavily on. We can follow His promises and know that we shall benefit as His Word says we shall.

Poor? Greater works shall you do John 14:11-13
Hungry? John 14:11-13

The Bible says we should be balanced, placing our hope fully in “God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17). We should be balanced by Loving God and enjoying Earthly blessings while not putting any hope in them.

Believe me that I am in The Father, and The Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that The Father may be glorified in The Son.

Pointers:

Lonely? Deutronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Pennyless? Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Malachai 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Psalm 37:16,17 Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.
Proverbs 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.
1 Timothy 6: 17-19Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.
Matthew 6:1-4 1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I could go on. I have already pointed out that so much had changed; who I was, what I was, what I believed and what I did. In essence, everything changed.
I have simply told people that I was allowed to come back for a reason. Truth be told, I don’t want to be here. Very simply, I was given a task to do and I will do it.
Times may be rough, but in and through Him, all things are possible!
