Similar to how the Lord is wise, you too can gain wisdom by acting as He does: by listening. We can learn much more from listening than we can by talking, and the Bible is filled with stories of the wisest doing exactly that. Like King Solomon solving the problem of the child with two mothers, we can examine a situation with our ears, wisely deciding the best course of action.
And we pray:
Wise and all-knowing God, grant me the patience to listen instead of speaking when I do not know the entire situation. I ask that You give me the humility to continue listening when I do not know the answer, and defer to wiser men than I. Abba Father, there is none wiser than You, the creator of the Heavens and Earth, existing before ‘time’. I pray that You assist me in my desire to learn all that I can from You. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
