To whom do I pay tribute? Who do I fear? Who/What do I honor? The passage in Romans talks about the duty of God’s ministers and applies to all believers as we have all been asked to “go forth and spread The Word.” https://www.openbible.info/topics/spreading_the_word We should all pay our dues, tribute, custom, honor, and be fearful of only one: God.
Only God can and will judge the quick and the dead. It is only God that deserves tribute, honor, or fear, and as His ministers, it is our duty.

And we pray:
My Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Forgive me for my ego, Lord, for I have let the words of others harm me and I have held a darkness in my heart. I have envied people that seemed happier, wealthier, or more successful, rather than thinking about the only person that has ever Loved me unconditionally – Jesus Christ. It is in His name I pray for forgiveness and ask to honor You with these words. Amen.
