That should be yelled from the mountaintops! IF you desire very important things need to be done!
Technically speaking, it is not true to say that God leaves us if we stray into sin. Rather, we are leaving God. If we seek the evil, the sinful, we are choosing to walk further into darkness away from his light. Choose not this path, stay with God, the good, and God will stay with you.
And we pray:
Lord my Heavenly Father, grant me grace and goodness. Let me not stray, for I know You always to be by my side, shielding me from the dark with Your light. Help me see and seek the good within all I do, and deliver me from temptation, for Yours is the power and glory, forever and ever, Amen.
