Continuously, The Word suggests that in the Praises and thansgiving of His people does He reside. Are we being thankful in hardship, grateful in oppression, trusting in disappointment? This all seems counterintuitive! But it is what we are asked to do.
Look at king David, did he do all as he was asked to do? His ‘wife’, how did he obtain her? We don’t need to belabour the point, but when a prophet came and pointed out his misdoings, he repented. What wrongs do we have in our lives? Things that we know we have done wrong? Ways that we may have gone amiss? We many times do not even know when we step wrong. There may be no ‘prophets’ or even ‘friends’ or naysayers; but we have a conscience, a heart to tell us right from wrong, do’s from dont’s…it is upon us to allow His Spirit to flow in and throuugh us.
