A complexity! How do we measure time? The short answer. We can measure time intervals — the duration between two events — most accurately with atomic clocks. These clocks produce electromagnetic radiation, such as microwaves, with a precise frequency that causes atoms in the clock to jump from one energy level to another. The measurement of time began with the invention of sundials in ancient Egypt some time prior to 1500 B.C. However, the time the Egyptians measured was not the same as the time today’s clocks measure. For the Egyptians, and indeed for a further three millennia, the basic unit of time was the period of daylight.

So very politely: What time is it on the planet Saturn? The distance from Earth to the Sun is 93 million miles (149 million kilometers), but the distance to the farthest planet Neptune is nearly 3 billion miles (4.5 billion kilometers). Or might I ask what time it is in OGLE? Astronomers have discovered one of the most distant planets known, a gas giant about 13,000 light-years from Earth, called OGLE-2014-BLG-0124L. The planet was discovered using a technique called microlensing, and the help of NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope and the Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment, or OGLE.

‘Time’ is difficult enough on this continent

So, after raising complicated questions can ‘time’ be measured off this planet? It would need to reference the known

Have you ever spoken to someone who was in a coma? Time is known by the senses. We know when we are tired, hungry, have an idea about when we sleep…

What in life have we posessed? What have we lost?

God promises not only to restore what was lost, but to restore it abundantly. … You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of The Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed” Joel 2:25-26
