Rest is defined as “peace, ease or refreshment.” the Bible speaks quite highly of rest. It is repeated all throughout Scripture, beginning with the creation story in Genesis 1 and 2. We see that God Created for six days straight and then God rested on the seventh.

It holds that the six days referred to in the Genesis account of creation are not ordinary 24-hour days, but are much longer periods (from thousands to billions of years). The Genesis account is then reconciled with the age of the Earth.
