If you ask ten different people what happens after we die, you’ll likely get ten different answers. Life after death can be perplexing, confusing, worrisome, or even scary to some people. “What does it mean to exist forever?” “Will eternity be boring?” “How do I make sure my life after death is as good as possible?” Jesus answers these questions in this passage by clearly laying out what eternity is, and consequently answering how we can arrive at this eternal life. The gospel of John makes it abundantly clear- the meaning is to know God, and know God’s Chosen One – Jesus whom He sent to save the world. Jesus invites us to live with Him forever, praising His name for all eternity. The only way to arrive at that life is to seek to know God Who rules all things.

God let us know You more deeply and truly than ever before. Thank You for Your Son Jesus, who has made a way for us to enter into eternal life with You forever. Amen.
