The interconnection of the seen and unseen…

Did you just breathe? The oxygen was in the air you just inhaled. Your lungs “sorted” Nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen… Extracting the needed Oxygen to continue life.

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

Do angels walk around with wings or halos about their heads? Abraham was sitting at the entrance to his tent. It was the hottest time of the day.  Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. So he quickly left the entrance to his tent to greet them. He bowed low to the ground.

He said, “My lord, if you are pleased with me, don’t pass me by. Let me get you some water. Then all of you can wash your feet and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat to give you strength. Then you can go on your way. I want to do this for you now that you have come to me.”

“All right,” they answered. “Do as you say.” This occured in his waking moments…

There was a certain man from Zorah, from the tribe of the Danites, and his name was Manoah; his wife was infertile and did not bear children. And an angel of Yahweh appeared to the woman, and he said to her, “Behold, you are infertile and have not borne children, but you will conceive and bear a son. So then, be careful and do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because you will conceive and bear a son. No razor will touch[b] his head, because the boy will be a Nazirite of God from birth. And it is he who will begin to deliver Israel from the hand of the Philistines.”

Once again in her awake period, and Manoah’s wife was visited. And the woman came and told her Manoah, saying, “A man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of an angel of God, very awesome. I did not ask him from where he came, and he did not tell me his name. And he said to me, ‘Look, you will conceive and bear a son, so then, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, for the boy will be a Nazirite of God from birth until the day of his death.’”Yet, Manoah requested to be visited by the same messenger. “Excuse me, my Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent again come to us and teach us what we should do concerning the boy who will be born.”

The messenger repeated his message, after which Manoah said the messenger to stay and eat, but he refused and said they should offer it to Yahweh. And when the flame went up toward the Heaven from the altar, the angel of Yahweh went up in the flame of the altar to Heaven while Manoah and his wife were watching. And they fell on their faces to the ground. Mark this! The days of Samson were known before his birth! The collapse of the collecting place of the Philistines: According to the biblical narrative, Samson died when he grasped two pillars of the Temple of Dagon and “bowed himself with all his might” (Judges 16:30, KJV).

We have so many to look back on: Daniel –

An angel appeared to Daniel – Daniel said he was lying with his face to the ground when he felt someone touch him, and he was brought to his hands and knees. The man, who was an angel, told Daniel to stand up. God heard Daniel’s prayer and it was in response to his prayer that the angel came to him in this vision.

How many times do angels appear in the Bible? More than a dozen times in the New Testament, and a dozen or so other times in the Old Testament. That all depends on the identity of the angel of the LORD (Genesis 16:10). Although this article will not dive into every instance, it will highlight the times when an angel appeared at a desperate moment.

What are angels in the Bible?

Angels are heavenly beings, often invisible to the human eye (Colossians 1:16). They do appear sometimes in human form (Genesis 18:2) and sometimes they appear in their true form, as is the case in this Ezekiel passage.

They deliver Heavenly messages and fight spiritual forces.

This was the good news that the angel Gabriel brought to Mary. He let her know that she was blessed and highly favored. She was favored because, of all the women who would ever live, God chose her. Mary was blessed because God chose her to be the mother of Jesus, The Son of God.

We look forward to get a hold of Saul, later known as the apostle Paul family ties – The latest research suggests that Paul was one of many great grandchildren of the Herods from Herod’s sister Salome through her marriage to Costabarus. His father was Anitipater II and mother Cypros, both Herodian names. Paul’s sister was named after her mother, Cypros II, who was married to Helcias, the temple treasurer. Paul’s nephew is known in secular history, he was Julius Archelaus, the boy who warned the Romans that Paul was being murdered. Did you notice in the Bible how familiar Paul was with Festus and King Agrippa II? Agrippa was his cousin. Agrippa I and Agrippa 2 were his cousins. So , with that knowledge, and the mention of Paul and his brother several times in Josephus (as a relative of Herod and a troublemaker), we suddenly can put the “Apostle” Paul in context as to how he ended up in Jerusalm, why he was run out of Damascus and why the Zealots in the Temple wanted to kill him.

We definitely want to maintain this on the connectivity of the physical and spiritual, a short digression away from the spiritual shows how things even in the physical are interconnected.

And we pray:

Father LORD Creator of ALL, I give Your Essence praise and glory. I am nothing before You. Father, You are The Creator of ALL seen and unseen. I commit my all into Your hands, in my life, Your will be done I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
