Fear and anxiety are real things we deal with every day. Even though we know Jesus is with us, we still tend to be afraid. We will be diving deep into questions Jesus asks throughout The Bible and what they mean for us today. In today’s share we will be breaking down the first question “Why are you afraid?”
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
In Mark 4:35-41, the disciples find themselves in a windstorm on the sea. As fear grows amongst them, Jesus rebukes the wind, and says the sea, “peace be still.” The disciples are amazed as God’s power and reign go beyond what they can see or even imagine.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. Calm me, Lord, as you calmed the storm; still me, Lord, keep me from harm. Let all the tumult within me cease, enfold me, Lord, in your peace. Calm me, Lord, as you calmed the storm; still me, Lord, keep me from harm.

Should we fear a infinitesimal part of ALL our Father in Heaven Created and controls? I am amazed when I reflect on the Universe.
- The Earth is about 3.5 million times larger than a human.
- The Solar System is about 36 billion times larger than Earth (3.6 X 10^10).
- The Local Group is 5 million times larger than the Solar System (1.4 X 10^17 times larger than Earth)
- The Virgo Supercluster is 11 times larger than the Local Group (1.5 X 10^18 times larger than Earth
- The Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex is 12 times larger than the Virgo Supercluster (1.9 X 10^21 times larger than Earth)
- And Finally, the Observable Universe is 10 times larger than the Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex (1.9 X 10^22 times larger than Earth)
I am bowled over when I consider this! Questions assail my thoughts! Who are we? What are we? Yes! When you consider it, a singular virus has effects as a ‘group’. This was what occurred:
When God first made people, everyone spoke the same language. No one had any trouble understanding one another (Genesis 11:1). God commanded the people to “Have children and increase your numbers. Fill the earth” (Genesis 9:1).
Sadly, though, people later decided they should stay in one place and build a great city named Babel with a tower as high as the sky. The people were starting to work together to do things that didn’t please God.
Because of this, God decided to mix up everyone’s language. He created new languages, and different people began speaking these languages. People couldn’t understand each other anymore! Groups of them had to move away to different parts of the world and start their own cultures (Genesis 11:8).
Now we have hundreds of different languages. God created these languages because of sin.
Praise God, I am not alone in my fight against fear; I have the Holy Spirit and the angels. The Holy Spirit and the angels are standing with me and in me. … Thank you, Lord, for helping me overcome and deliver me from my fear of (enter in the areas of your struggle).
