“Time” is measured by the rotation of the Earth on its own axis and Earth (and other planets) rotation around a star; the Sun! There are only about 5,000 stars visible to the naked, average, human eye. To point out the fact: Because stars EMIT light with different wavelengths, they have different colors. Stars do not just emit one wavelength of electromagnetic radiation, but a range of wavelengths. So, this speaks to our unspoken question: Stars emit their own light.
Our planetary system is the only one officially called “solar system,” but astronomers have discovered more than 3,200 other stars with planets orbiting them in our galaxy. Our solar system is just one specific planetary system—a star with planets orbiting around it.

God breathes God’s spirit into humanity in a way that separates us from animals and God’s other creation, which God speaks into existence. Humanity’s unique role God’s unique role for humanity also sets us apart from the rest of creation. God gave humanity a role in God’s creation. We are the caretakers of God’s world. We could expound on this for eons. What Mankind does to preserve Earth is our God given duty.
Since the Industrial Revolution, human activities have released large amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which has changed the earth’s climate. Natural processes, such as changes in the sun’s energy and volcanic eruptions, also affect the earth’s climate. However, they do not explain the warming that we have observed over the last century.
Human Versus Natural Causes
It is unequivocal that human influence has warmed the atmosphere, ocean and land.
Scientists have pieced together a record of the earth’s climate by analyzing a number of indirect measures of climate, such as ice cores, tree rings, glacier lengths, pollen remains, and ocean sediments, and by studying changes in the earth’s orbit around the sun. This record shows that the climate varies naturally over a wide range of time scales, but this variability does not explain the observed warming since the 1950s. Rather, it is extremely likely (> 95%) that human activities have been the dominant cause of that warming.
Human activities have contributed substantially to climate change. As shared earlier, we could expound on these facts. I will merely ask – what have you done in your past to care for the Earth. The first and second greatest commandments are to Love God and love your neighbor as your self. It is not Christ-like to forget and neglect the elderly. If our neighbor is old, and we do not help them when they need help, how is that loving? When our own kin grow old, how can we Love them the way Christ Loves the Church? Remember this Jesus had choice and He freely gave Himself to die in my and your place, Hallelujah!!!
People who are old are the ones who cared for us when we were young and helpless. It is our duty to care for them when they are old.

Lord, I pray for the older people who do not know You. I pray they will find Your Love and joy. Let them lean on You for strength and understanding. Help them to smile and live out the remainder of their days for You. Get them the Word if they don’t have access to it. Bring Christians into their lives to speak life into them. You are The God Who cares for the young and old, weak and strong, rich and poor. Bless our elderly and help us honor them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
