Faith without works…

So! I’m gonna just pray about it continually and ‘hope’. It will happen !

A few times, I have heard this! Did you read The Scripture?

Let us see – Abram left his family in search of the promised land. Abram was 99 and was told he would have a son with Sarai (he stepped away/out from The promise of God!) Time? Haven’t you heard a thousand calendar years are as a day in The Sight of God. Amen.

So, at his ‘age’ Abram and Sarai continued to be intimate and were blessed! EVERYTHING is set in place for the work of The LORD, our God.

Joseph was thrown in jail! After murdering him was considered, he was sold to slave traders on their way to Egypt! He had dreamt of confusing things! His brothers sheafs of wheat bowing to his? His mind was above the clouds! He dreamt of stars.

Joseph: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.” His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us?

His second dream he shared: One featuring the sun and the moon and 11 stars. Which all bowed down to his star!

He is the favourite son of the patriarch Jacob, and his jealous brothers sell him into slavery in Egypt, where he eventually ends up incarcerated. After correctly interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh, however, he rises to second in command in Egypt and saves Egypt during a famine.

And we pray:

We could share on, but we take away that these individuals did not stay still and wait to do what they were led by The Spirit of God to do.

Psalm 37:23-24: “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” Proverbs 16:9: “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For Your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in Your righteousness, bring me out of trouble, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

First, John 16:13-15, where Jesus stated that the Holy Spirit, who was to come was to guide or lead the disciples into all truth and tell or reveal to them what was yet to come. Second, Rom. 8:14-16, which marks the sons of God as those who are led by the Spirit.

How do we give God control? It’s a challenge many Christians face in their spiritual walk.

Are you a Type-A Personality?

I am.

It’s a gift and a challenge all in one.

If you’re unsure of what a Type-A Personality is, I love Wikipedia’s definition:

Ambitious, rigidly organized, highly status conscious, sensitive, truthful, impatient, always try to help others, take on more than they can handle, want other people to get to the point, proactive, and obsessed with time management. People with Type A personalities are often high-achieving “workaholics” who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence.

Sounds kind of good, right?

The problem is, following God can be a challenge if you have this kind of personality. Thankfully God knows your heart and your weaknesses as much as your strengths! He wants you to trust Him!

Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
