Jesus sought and did The Father’s will. He did not seek His own will. He listened to The Father’s instruction always because He was sent by The Father. Just as Jesus followed The Father’s will, so we should also constantly seek to do The Father’s will. Just as Jesus was selfless, so we should pray we become more like Him. Praying that our will conforms to The Father’s will.
And we pray:
Heavenly Father, let Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Amen. I want Your will for my life, not my own will. Guide me and direct my steps. Do not let me stray from Your ways. Give me direction and let me always follow You. Thank You for sending Your Son, and for Jesus doing Your will perfectly. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
