I was blessed to view a question and briefly responded….

Question:

Why do we eat dead flesh when God created herbs for our meat? And he created herbs also for the animals?
Genesis 1:29-30 (KJV) And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Answer:

Very notably; Peter a disciple of Jesus; “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18. For many reasons Peter was tested and Jesus appointed him the rock upon whom the church shall be built. In addressing your question, I wish to use Scripture. “A voice from heaven told Peter to kill and eat, but since the vessel (or sheet, ὀθόνη, othonē) contained unclean animals, Peter declined.” According to the Acts of the Apostles, chapter 10, Saint Peter had a vision of a vessel (Greek: σκεῦος, skeuos; “a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners”) full of animals being lowered from heaven (Acts 10:11). A voice from heaven told Peter to kill and eat, but since the vessel (or sheet, ὀθόνη, othonē) contained unclean animals, Peter declined. The command was repeated two more times, along with the voice saying, “What God hath made clean, that call not thou common” (verse 15) and then the vessel was taken back to heaven (verse 16).
If you study Genesis; no animal was killed for food and/or raiment prior to Adam and Eve disobeying God’s Word. To cover their nakedness an animal was killed. As per the biblical interpretation of Genesis 3:21, God produced coats of skin for the first man and woman Adam and Eve and clothed them when they were found naked in the garden after eating the forbidden fruit.
In summary, I began with sharing Peter’s desire to eat nothing unclean; he was corrected. Note, the sheet was lowered again…
We all are spirit within flesh. The spirit exists when the body is no more.
As has been advised; judge no Man for what they do. Meditate on The Word day and night and be led by The Spirit.
