That you should seek The Lord, if haply – by chance, luck, or accident you might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us:
1. God knows us intimately.
2. God cares for us deeply.
Passages that beautifully express this truth:
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” Psalm 56:8
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31
Knowing that our Lord knows us so well and cares about us so tenderly, our natural response is found in offering thanks, praise and adoration.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Let’s memorize these passages so they can comfort us in times of trouble.
For in God – our Creator, we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also poets have said, For we are also His offspring. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” ~ Matthew 7:7 KJV
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because God has appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man – Jesus, Whom He hath ordained; For those who reject what Christ did at Calvary, He will judge the world. None of us deserves God’s love. All of us deserve His righteous judgment and wrath (John 3:18; Romans 3:9-12). God judges mankind by the standard of the only God-man who ever lived, Jesus Christ. whereof He hath given assurance unto all Mankind, in that God hath raised Jesus from the dead.
