We pray as Jesus directs us to a Father in Heaven.

It is beyond amazing that when I look back at my life parenting was and remains my primary goal. When I was in the car accident that led to my coma. The only thing that made me desire to return/wake up from the most amazing dream/experience I ever have experienced were my sons! My recovery was solely for them. As I recovered and realized ‘time’, I came to the realization that unlike my ‘dream’ in which there was no time or change in the ‘atmosphere’, it was the same ‘time’ though I did so very much.

A nerve wracking concept! But simply said “let your “No!” Be “No.”

It’s maintaining harmony and stability in the home. “Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise” Proverbs 11:29.

It’s prudent financial planning for your children. “Children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children” 2 Corinthians 12:14.

It’s showing your children you respect your own parents. “Honour your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you” Deuteronomy 5:16.

It’s aiming to see your children become mature Christians. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth” 3 John 1:4.

But, to cut the jabber… As parents we are charged to set examples and as believers raise our children in the Love of The Lord!

Godly parenting means engaging your kids in a way that most accurately reflects the life and words of Jesus. To parent in a way that pleases God, you must seek, depend on, and live through Christ.

Every day multiple times a day, I give God thanks for my children and ensure that they are prayed for at least twice a day! Sounds like a lot, but it very simply has become a necessity in life.

For example:

Lord, I pray for my children’s family–their spouse, and children (or their future spouse and children). May you bless their family, and allow them to flourish and thrive. Fill their homes with peace, joy and love, and may they live to see their children’s children (Psalm 128:6).

world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16

BIGGEST lesson:

Why is God called “Father”? The simple answer is because that is what Scripture calls God, for example, Jesus teaches us in the Lord’s prayer to say, “Our Father…” (Matthew 6:9). However, it is also good and helpful to probe a little more deeply. Why does Scripture call God “Father”?n

It took me years to understand why the only individuals I saw in my coma were my sons! The amazing thing is that for them, I needed to wake up! That is saying so much, but walking, moving, speaking was to make them proud!

A significant thing is that God is our Creator and Knows everything about every individual alive or passed! Your story has been written! Before you took your first breath!

Your story is His-Story before you were born! Is everyone born is born for a reason?

We look into The Word:

Samuel was born for a reason and was dedicated to God before his birth.

Ruth an ancestors of Jesus was born for a purpose. Yes! There was loss/pain/sorrow! Yet, she accepted it and was blessed as the great grandmother of David!

Samsons parents were childless for years and an angel appeared to Samson’s mother and she ran home and told her husband who did not believe. The angel returned and rules were given. The reason I am spending tome on this account is ‘diet’ and absence of alcohol were instructed including not cutting Samson’s hair! I do not need to share that eventually Samson’s hair was cut while he slept on his others lap (she was paid to find the source of his strength.) Yet, blinded as punishment Samson was enslaved for mockery. They forgot to keep him shaven and paid the price.

We could go ceaselessly on… But, I will end this with a well known story! The Mother of Jesus was born for a reason, and was visited in her sleep by an angel that told her she was chosen and Created for a purpose. She immediately accepted though it would speak wrong of a chaste woman. Joseph her betrothed doubted her account and was visited by an angel.

The reason we share this is the realization that all is Seen and Known. Your children are yours for a purpose. Do your part!
