Every day IS a mother’s day! We celebrate Mother’s day this weekend and pray for our Mother’s.

A mother holds so much.

She holds the most special
memories deep within her heart….
The first day home from the hospital.
The first words.
The first day of school.
She is the keeper of the most
precious of memories.

A mother holds so much.

She holds her children in her arms.
She rocks them and soothes them.
She carries them to bed and tucks them in.
She carries them out of the tub and
wraps them in a towel.
Her arms never seem to tire.
She holds them as she reads stories
and cooks with one on her hip.
She holds them in her arms so many times
until the day they are too big to carry.

A mother holds so much.

She holds them as they cry,
she is a keeper of their tears.
She sits with them and soothes them.
She bandages boo boos and comforts hurt feelings.
She has comforted so many heartaches.
There is something about a mother that even a simple
touch from her can help tears cease.

A mother holds so much.

She holds schedules together.
She arranges doctor appointments,
the sport practices and games.
She arranges playdates and what is for dinner each night.
She wears so many hats keeping the household running.

A mother holds so much.

She holds her children’s
hopes and dreams within her own heart.
She watches in amazement
of who they are becoming.
She wonders where those little
babies went overnight.
She holds thousands of prayers in
her heart for her children’s lives
and who they will become.

A mother holds so much…
so much love,
so much grace,
so many prayers within her heart
and she can do it only because her
God above holds her.

God is what keeps her going every single day,
God is her strength.
God is her constant Companion to walk through motherhood with.
She needs God every single day because as a mother,
she holds so much.
