Jesus promises an easy yoke for us. But the one thing He asks for is commitment. Jesus wants us with Him wholeheartedly. Not longing for what we left to follow Him, and not wondering what could have been. Jesus calls us to serve Him with full surrender and keep our eyes on the prize ahead as we journey together with Him.
And we pray:
Father God, thank You for calling me to a new life with You. Because of You, my life is forever changed, and there is no turning back. Nothing that I knew before compares to knowing You and walking with You. So I surrender my life to You, Lord, and ask that You show me the way. Teach me to keep my focus ahead and not long for the past. In Jesus’ name, amen.
