Psalm 103:13 ~ As a father shows compassion to his children, so The Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him.
Father’s Day can be a struggle for some that have estranged relationships with their biological fathers. As I was praying for this occasion with God all-ways there. I am touched to know and realize that The Word of God teaches us to see/call/address The Creator of ALL as Father. My Father in Heaven, Amen. To Whom I owe and give my eternal thanks and praise!!! Without God, there would be nothing!
God wants you to know that HE is The Father that you have never had! HE is The Shoulder to cry on when the world feels like it is caving in on you. God is The One that will lift your chin and tell you how beautiful and amazing you are when Satan has lied to you about your self-worth! God is the only One that promises to never leave you nor forsake you! You are HIS child! HE will provide for you not just financially but HE will also nourish your soul! HE will never fail to answer you when you call out to Him! Whisper HIS name in times of despair! HE WILL SHOW UP! You will never have to doubt HIM!
So as Sunday comes around celebrate this FATHER! Honor The One true to you! He LOVES you more than you can fathom!
The history of Father’s Day goes back to 1908, when a church in West Virginia held a sermon to honor 362 men who had been killed the previous year in a coal mining explosion. This was the country’s first-ever event to strictly honor fathers, but it was just a one-and-done thing, at least in that community.
