One of my favorite Bible verses about forgiveness is,
“But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:15
Sometimes forgiving those who have hurt us can be hard to do. But Scripture tells us we must, in order for God to forgive us.
Forgive the person that hurt you. Forgive the person that thinks that they haven’t done anything wrong. Forgive the person that refuses to ask for forgiveness. Forgiveness may not always lead to reconciliation with them, but forgiveness will always lead you to deliverance. Let go of anger, deception, and bitterness. God will heal you this year. Forgive the past. Move on to the future. God has greater things in store for you.
