I’m trusting ALL that God does for me ♥️

When we ask Him “Why?” we are not expressing our doubts in Him, but rather trying, humbly, to understand His place in current circumstances. By asking “why?” we show God, we honor Him as parent to Whom we go with our questions, no matter how thorny and difficult.

The prophet Habakkuk was looking at his world and began his prophecy with, “How long must I call for help … why do you make me look at injustice?” (Habakkuk 1:2). Even Job and David asked God, “Why?” So, there is ample biblical evidence that it is OK to ask God “why?” This is the beauty of relationship with God — there is an openness, honesty and vulnerability in relationship that makes room for questions.I won’t pretend to know why bad things happen, why diseases ruin lives or war displaces people, etc. None of that is easy. I do know though that we have a sovereign God that desires loving relationship with us and this includes being able to ask questions. The key though is that questions are asked within the context of relationship and acknowledgement that God is God, and I am not. I love that God isn’t threatened by our questions!
