His-Story!!!

Wow!

Abraham’s promise – Isaac, in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) book of Genesis, the second of the patriarchs of Israel, the only son of Abraham and Sarah, and the father of Esau and Jacob. Although Sarah was past the age of childbearing, God promised Abraham and Sarah that they would have a son, and Isaac was born.

After Sarah’s passing, Abraham had another wife, Keturah. She had six sons by Abraham (Genesis 25). So of the eight sons of Abraham, only Isaac was the son of Abraham and Sarah; only Isaac was the son the God had promised.

We can glean so very much from the blessings of God!!!

Samson – Shorn and blinded; God blessed him when he truly repented, and he took so many more of the opposition when he collapsed the pillars of the stadium.

It so happened when they were in high spirits, that they said, “Call for Samson, that he may amuse us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he entertained them. And they made him stand between the pillars.

We could go unceasingly on! A childless widow was the great grandmother of king David! Ruth became Boaz’s wife, and bore him a son, Obed, who became the father of Jesse, the father of king David.

We live in a world of pain and suffering. There is no one who is not affected by the harsh realities of life, and the question “why do bad things happen to good people?” is one of the most difficult questions in all of theology. God is sovereign, so all that happens must have at least been allowed by Him, if not directly caused by Him. At the outset, we must acknowledge that human beings, who are not eternal, infinite, or omniscient, cannot expect to fully understand God’s purposes and ways.

The Bible teaches that God’s sovereignty is an essential aspect of who he is, that he has supreme authority and absolute power over all things. And yes, He is very much active, despite our perplexity. Scripture says, God works “all things according to the counsel of His will” (Ephesians 1:11).

Yet, the 1 single person on Earth without sin; sent by God. The Word of God, died for you and I – our sins! We were bought for a price that can never be paid. Very simply, serve God. You are payed for in FULL!

1 Peter 2:22: “He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in His mouth.”

Hebrews 4:15: “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One Who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
