Power in prayer!

James 5 says, “Elijah was huMan, as we are, and yet when he prayed that it would not rain, no rain fell for three and a half years.”

Sometimes, we see individuals in the Bible as superhuMan – they are not! God of course, is far beyond our imaginatios.

They had so much more faith than us remember this always!

We believe that God favored them because they were so special. This Scripture starts off saying, “Elijah was huMan.” Of course we know he was huMan. God was saying this to let us know, Elijah was an ordinary person, just like you and I, we are by God’s AWESOME grace, filled with The Spirit of The Most High God.

Mind you, Elijah didn’t necessarily feel special. He didn’t walk around with a supernatural glow. The reason we’re talking about him is he dared to pray bold prayers. He dared to ask for the impossible. That’s what made him stand out. What is in you?

Here is some scripture on The Holy Spirit: He is God, and believers are baptized in His Name (Matthew 28:19-20). He has the power to protect believers so that nothing can steal their salvation (Ephesians 4:30). He dwells within believers and transforms them into the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

The power that the Holy Spirit gives us is something that reflects in the natural as well as the supernatural. He gives us power, love, and self-discipline. Power can be many things backed up by the Holy Spirit, such as boldness to preach the gospel and power to perform healing miracles.
